Dr. McDowell is an excellent dentist. He will not upsell you and suggest procedures that are not actually necessary. I had gone to a different dentist that told me I needed to have a deep clean- Dr. McDowell had examined me and explained thoroughly why that was not needed and a regular clean was sufficient. I truly appreciate his honesty and bedside manner. I have since moved out of the area, but will still schedule my follow ups for when I am in town visiting Roseville

I have been going to Dr. McDowell since I was a child and I can say him and his staff are among the best. They are always incredibly helpful and make my teeth feel shiny clean. I could not recommend a better dentist to go to. Run, don't walk, and schedule your appointment with Dr. McDowell's office today!

If I could give them zero stars I would. Backstory: This is my childhood dentist. I got my accounting degree and had a job with the state a few years. Recently I quit my job to become an entrepreneur. With that being said, I also signed up for Medical. I was having headaches, sore throat and toothaches. My doctor suggested that I went to my dentist because it's been a while since I've been there. I get to McDowell's office and they instantly tell me they don't take Medical but they will see what they can do. Optimistically I go to the back get my x-ray and Dr. McDowell explains that the doctor that I went to prior was not telling me the truth and that I just have two cavities. McDowell assured that my tooth with a hole in it (that hurt when air was placed in it) was not the cause of my pain. He told me to start brushing my teeth and flossing and I should be fine until I get a filling or procedure needed. We later begin to talk about the procedure for the two cavities. Dr. McDowell understanding my situation told me that although they do not accept Medical, he would allow me to make payments. He stood up says he would talk to the front desk to have it arranged for me. I go to the front desk and Pam automatically begins to talk about me needing to find a Medical dentist. I told her Dr. McDowell said that we could set up making payments. Pam arrogantly begins to slightly roll her neck and says it would be best that I find a Medicare dentist. I told her that I refuse to go to a Medicare dentist because I'm not comfortable as I've been with Dr. McDowell my majority of my life. Pam begins to smirk and ask how I will go about funding. I told her I work, just not as an accountant anymore. Pam continues to smirk after I repeated I can make payments. Pam began to question me about my career, how I would go about making the money and who I worked for me that made me sure I'd be able to have this money for payments. Once I sternly told her I was self-employed and had my own establishment she then began to lighten up. Pam explained that she "would not want to go to a Medical dentist either". Feeling attacked yet optimistic I asked her for an invoice so I could be ready to make the payments. After rolling her neck, giving me a questionnaire and made it clear she felt like I couldn't afford this procedure. Guessing in her head she blurts she only wanted me to show up with $200 for my first payment. $200 is not much at all so I didn't understand her dramatics. I went to sleep for the next two nights with terrible headaches and pain. This morning my mother called another dental organization. They took me in the same day, did my x-rays, realized I had tooth decay which hit a nerve and I needed a root canal immediately. I was able to pay the money out of pocket without any problems or belittling (paid it off at once even thought it was over $1500.) most important my headache and aches are gone! I realize that Dr.McDowell and his team was my childhood dental office, but it is in fact time for a change. Their Miss information, unprofessionalism and lack of urgency could have caused me a month worth of torture. I will happily be leaving this establishment and taking my family with me.

Absolute best!!!! Outstanding bedside manner, awesome staff everywhere you look. He really takes care of his patients. The staff is so kind and treat you with 5 star care. I will recommend this place to everyone I know.

Everyone at this office is great Dr McDowell is a caring good natured dentist and his office gal Pam and the others are all good people ..clean office and never s long wait..I recommend to anyone

Dr.Dan is amazing! He's patient and caring, friendly and full of knowledge. The staff are very nice and welcoming and always have a smile to share. Most important, coming here has taken away my uneasy feeling about dentists
