Dr. McDonald grew up in the South Bay Area and earned his DDS from the University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Since graduating in 2013, Dr. McDonald has focused on providing the most compassionate and comprehensive care possible. He strives to ensure that his patients are heard and takes the time to make sure that they feel comfortable in the dental office. This approach has helped Dr. McDonald to work effectively with both children and adults as well as patients that suffer from anxiety during dental visits.
Sallie began her career in dentistry in 1990 and managed multiple dental offices in San Jose for 11 years. She has brought her extensive background in the fields of dentistry, finances and management to our office in Morgan Hill. In addition to all of her front office talents, she is fluent in Spanish and is also an Army veteran.
Angela has over 23 years of experience as a dental hygienist working in both General and Pediatric Dentistry. She has been with our practice for over 20 years, and her gentle and soothing approach to dentistry keeps our patients happy and healthy.
Heather is a dental hygienist with over 10 years of experience. As competent as she is kind, her gentle demeanor has made her a favorite amongst our longtime patients. She is also great with kids, ensuring that their first dental visit is a positive experience and always ends in smiles and high fives. In her spare time, she enjoys sharing her hobbies of baking, fishing, and camping with her three boys Dominic, Logan, and Austin.
Angelisa hasbeen a dental hygienist since 2008 and loves her work! Her friendly and lively personality makes our patients feel as though they are chatting with an old friend. On her days off she is busy being a Mother to three boys, ages 18, 13, and 3. Along with educating her patients on their oral hygiene, Angelisas goal is to make sure her patients are comfortable and feel cared for.
Teresa has been taking care of patients as a registered dental assistant since 2007. She is a tremendous asset to the team and our patients adore her friendly and uplifting personality. She is currently training to become an assistant with extended functions which is the highest attainable degree in her field. When shes not taking care of patients, she enjoys her hobbies of gardening, cooking and traveling.
Shannon became a dental assistant 7 years ago when she changed careers from cosmetology. Her warm and friendly demeanor blends perfectly with our practice culture, to make people feel as comfortable as possible while in our dental office. In her spare time, she is a loving mother to her 2-year-old daughter Brielle and little dog Beau. She is also a huge fan of the classic comedy show I Love Lucy.
Iran is our front office assistant and is the first person you will meet when calling or visiting our office. She has a calm and friendly personality that our patients find very soothing. On weekends she enjoys reading as well as time with family and her many pets which include birds and dogs.

Dr. McDonald and his staff are professional, friendly, and do great work all-around. I don't remember the last time I had a cleaning so thorough. I had visited another dentist just a couple of months back and they didn't catch my cavities. I'm glad it was caught early in the stages, saving my tooth from turning into a crown or root canal procedure.

Absolutely the best dental office experience I've ever had - extremely friendly and helpful front office staff, very nice and experienced dental hygienists, and Dr. McDonald is also extremely friendly. professional, and definitely knows his stuff. Highly recommended if you live in the Morgan Hill/Gilroy/South Bay area.

This office has the friendliest staff of any office I've ever visited! They are all simply amazing and the work done on my teeth is superb. I highly recommend anyone that is looking for great dental work to visit McDonald Family Dentistry first and you will agree. You can see and feel their dedication in the fine work they do and from the first visit it's as if they've known you for years but don't just take my word for it, check it out for yourself!

Since moving to Morgan Hill 15 years ago I have gone to Dr.'s McDonald. The Office Staff is exceptional in their attention to patient care. I just had teeth cleaning with Heather and it was great. Dr. McDonald explains every procedure he is doing and makes sure I'm comfortable. This is the dental group that has changed my whole idea of dental work. They're professional, efficient and make me feel very relaxed. Who knew I would love to go to the dentist!

Myself and my son first started to see Dr. McDonald a few years ago while he was with AZ Dental. Every experience we've had with him(from normal cleaning's, to a baby tooth needing to be pulled) has always ended on a positive note. He has managed to gain the trust of my son and therefore myself. His technique is unique, he cares about the patient first. He knows what he is doing and his ability to work with children amazes me. I have already referred several family members and friends his direction and will continue to do so. We now commute from San Jose to Morgan Hill to continue our care with him and would recommend anyone in need of a new dentist to do the same!

My husband and I are both patients of Dr. McDonald and we absolutely agree with Mr. Elrod!! He is absolutely the finest dentist we have ever gone to. He explains everything as he is doing it, is so caring and gentle, and I even recently received a follow up call to see how I was doing after a procedure. He is meticulous in his work and truly wants his patients to be 100% happy. Consider this review to be a 5 star, PLUS!!

This is maybe the first review I've ever taken the time to actually write, and if you have the time to read, I would appreciate it. From the time you open the door to the office, until the time they text you to check on you after having work done, they're there for you. I'm 24 years old and have been experiencing anxiety for the first time in my life. I found myself in the dentist chair, in tears and embarrassed, because I couldn't handle something as simple as a consultation or teeth cleaning. That was one year ago. Since then, with the help of all of the staff, I've been able to work through it and get all of my cavities filled, deep cleaning started, and have confidence that I can handle my upcoming wisdom teeth removal. The amount of patience they had, the encouraging words, and being accommodating with my medicinal needs, I just couldn't be more thankful. This has taken a tremendous amount of stress out of my life, and I finally feel confident in my smile and ability to handle stress. I don't know if Dr.McDonald reads these reviews, or any of the kind people that work with him do, but thank you. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate everyone in that office and I can only hope others are able to find the comfort I've found.

I have gone to over 20 different Dentist in my life but I have to say Dr. Andrew McDonald by far is the BEST!!!! He is very professional and Painless. I honestly almost fall asleep when he is working on my teeth. He talks to you the whole time he is working on you letting you know every move he going to make so there are no surprises. He make you feel so comfortable when you are setting in that Dental chair. I can't say enough about his Staff they are very friendly and professional they make you feel like your part of there family!! Needless to say I am Extremely happy with Dr. McDonald and his Staff. I can't see me changing Dentist ever again!!! :) :)

I know Dr. McDonald since 2014 and he is very gentle and friendly. All my family member is under his care now. Everyone loves him, even my 4 years old. I had my 4 wisdom tooth out, crowning and fillings. I do not have a single complain. He is the best dentist, no doubt. I recommend Dr McDonald for your family.
