Next are clinical expertise and technology. We have extensive training and experience in esthetic restorative dentistry. That includes educating dentists and assistants. Dr McDonald is a visiting faculty member at the Pankey Institute and Spear Education. Contemporary technology, emerging science, and thoughtful application of sound clinical principles allows us to prevent many problems and solve other problems with more simple solutions than in the past.
In addition, our external professional resources are invaluable to our patients. We have built a superb team of specialists that we partner with when our patients conditions require that. That includes every dental specialty and extraordinary lab technicians that help us to design and create beautiful smiles using state of the art materials, clinical techniques, and digital technology.

Lynn is our registered dental hygienist. She received her bachelor of science in dental hygiene from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1996. She has been with our practice ever since. She has pride in making her patients healthier with clinical hygiene and education. Lynn is committed to giving her patients the highest quality care, with a gentle touch.
Denise is one of our part time hygienist. She has been practicing for 38 years. Her passion is seeing patients be the best they can be, not only pertaining to oral health. She loves family and enjoys getting to know about patients families as well. Denise has been married to her high school sweetheart Larry for 38 years. Denise and Larry are longtime friends with Dr. McDonald, and actually went to the same college.
Denise and Larry have a daughter and a son living in the metroplex and 4 beautiful grandangels. She enjoys working out and traveling along side with Larry. Denise is very active in her church serving with the high school youth and is a mentor mom for a special moms group.
Rachel is one of our part time hygienist. She has been practicing since she graduated hygiene school at Midwestern State University in August of 2020. Her passion is seeing patients improve and learn about their oral health as well as throw in a dental fun fact or two.
Lisa is the Treatment and New Patient Coordinator. She thrives on putting people at ease and bringing a smile to their faces. She has a zest for life and finds joy in the patient relationships that she has nurtured over the many years she has been with Dr. McDonald. Having a compassionate, professional, fun environment to work in is a blessing for her. She celebrates life with family and friends because Every day is a holiday and every meal is a feast!
Kristi is our lead registered dental assistants. She has sat side-by-side assisting Dr. McDonald and managing the lab since 2001. Her passion for dentistry is driven by the love of people and the opportunity that dentistry allows her to build relationships that make a difference in our patients lives. Implants and all of the new technology that Dr. McDonalds office provides our patients are just a few of the things that Kristi loves.
Veronica grew up in Benavides, Texas. Veronica is a Registered Dental Assistant who is also bilingual, she received her Dental Assisting education with a minor in Biology from the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Dental Assisting Program. She previously worked in Allen for 16 years. Her hobbies include exercising and spending time with her fianc, son Darren and friends.
Dr. Edwin A. McDonald III received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Economics from Midwestern State University. He earned his DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. Dr. McDonald has completed extensive training in dental implant dentistry through the University of Florida Center For Implant Dentistry. He has also completed extensive esthetic dentistry training through various programs including the Seattle Institute.
In addition, Dr. McDonald has lectured before organizations such as The Yankee Dental Congress, The Chicago Mid-Winter Dental Meeting, The Texas Dental Association, and The Southwest Dental Conference. He has also authored a series of articles for Dental Economics and other dental journals.
Prior to the emergence of navigational technology, the captain of a ship relied on unchanging points of light in the nights sky to navigate his vessel in the darkness. These celestial objects were so well known and behaved so precisely that you could trust your life, your vessel, and all of its valuable contents to their guidance. You still can, if you understand them well enough.
Over the last 200-300 years our world has abandoned the idea that there are eternal, reliable, and absolute principles or reference points from which human beings can gain the power and the confidence to navigate through a very dark world. In essence, we are lost.
