Dr. Michael McDermott earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Chemistry and Biology from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. He followed his undergraduate degrees with a doctorate in dental surgery at the University of Minnesota, where he graduated with highest distinction.

When Dr. Mike isnt attending conferences on the latest innovations in orthodontics, he likes to spend time with his wife and two children, Miles and Lily. He enjoys golfing, fishing and playing the guitar. Most of all, he enjoys changing peoples lives one smile at a time.

I moved to the Brainerd Lakes area 13 years ago and found it to be the perfect place to raise my three boys. I began working at McDermott Orthodontics in 2008 as a Treatment Coordinator. I really enjoy getting to know all the kids and families in our community, in addition to helping them get a beautiful smile. In my free time, youll find me singing show tunes, eating doughnuts, thinking about chocolate, and hanging out at the lake.
I was born and raised in the Lakes area. I earned my Dental Assisting License from Central Lakes College. Ive been a part of the McDermott Orthodontics team since 2001. Over the years, Ive enjoyed getting to know all of our patients and help them through their orthodontic treatment. When I have free time, I enjoy various outdoor activities with my husband and our daughters. If I have to pick a favorite time of the day, it would have to be snack time!
I grew up in southern Minnesota, but have been living in the Brainerd Lakes area for 2 years now. I earned my dental assisting degree in St. Cloud, and have been with McDermott Orthodontics since 2014. Helping our patients on their way to a perfect smile is my favorite part of my job. I grew up in true northern Minnesota. I earned my dental assisting degree from MSCTC-Moorhead in 2005. I have been with McDermott Orthodontics since the beginning of 2015. I enjoy having fun with the patients every time they come to our office! My husband and I have lived in the Brainerd Lakes area for 3 years. I enjoy fishing, rollerblading, biking with our dog, chocolate, and potato dumplings.
Im from right here in the Brainerd Lakes area. I received my dental assisting diploma at Central Lakes College in 2015 and started with McDermott Orthodontics after earning my degree. I enjoy spending time with our patients and getting to know them. My two puppies, Bentley and Tucker, keep me entertained while Im not working. In my downtime, I like to watch movies, especially Disney films, and spend time with my family.
I grew up in Wisconsin and love cheese. I am also a huge Packer fan and am known to wear a cheesehead occasionally. I have worked at McDermott Orthodontics since 2000. I think we offer the best orthodontic care in Minnesota, have the greatest orthodontist in the Midwest, and the most outstanding staff in America. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children and taking advantage of all the great activities available to us in Minnesota. When I get a chance, I like to read a good book or knit something fun for my friends and family.
I earned my Dental Assisting license from Hennepin Technical College. I have over 20 years of experience as an orthodontic assistant. I have worked with Dr. McDermott at his Delano office since 2004. I love seeing how a beautiful smile can change a persons life. I live in Delano with my husband and two children. In my spare time, I love to work out, walk, volunteer at school, bike, and spend time with my family and friends.
I earned my dental assisting degree in 1997 at Northwest Technical College in Bemidji. I have been a dental assistant for over 18 years. I started working with Dr. Mike, at his Delano office, in the summer of 2012. I love working at Dr. McDermotts office and helping people achieve a perfect smile. I grew up in northern Minnesota in the small town of Laporte. I enjoy spending time with my husband and four boys. When not working, I enjoy living in Minnesota and taking full advantage of the four seasons. In the winter months, you can find me ice-fishing, cross-country skiing, and sledding with my family. In the warmer months, my family and I enjoy boating and hiking.
