Dr. Michaela McCormick is a graduate of Middlebury College and Temple University School of Dentistry. She completed her orthodontist specialty training and residency at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine Department of Orthodontics before joining McCormick Orthodontics in 2008.

A Board Certified orthodontist and member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Dr. McCormick is also a member of the Schulman Study Group, an esteemed national study club of practitioners and academics who convene each year to discuss and study the best methods and advances in orthodontic care.

Dr. Michaela took over for her father in 2011. She loves children, and finds enormous joy in watching them grow and chatting with them at each visit. She practices a balance of preventative and proactive orthodontic care, and believes every parent and patient deserves a thorough explanation of the issues at hand and the recommended treatment plan.

Dr. Michaela lives with her husband, a hockey loving French Canadian named Francois Gravel (who goes by Frank), and their two awesome kids, Henri and Beatrice. When Dr. Michaela has some free time, she spends it with her kids, reading, wrestling and playing in the creek next to their house. She is a ravenous reader, loves food and cant wait to camp and travel more as her kids get older.

I have been a member of the McOrtho team since the summer of 2008. Currently I am the Office Manager, but Ive worn many hats in the office! When I started with the practice, I worked in lab and sterilization. Then I took on a role in Marketing and Community Education, working very closely with the local schools. I also did Treatment Coordinating before moving into my current role.

I am the Clinical Supervisor and I have been with McCormick Orthodontics since 2004. I absolutely love what I do. To see the beginning and end results and smiles when patients are finished is amazing and rewarding!

I grew up here in the Oxford area and so did my husband, Jeff. We have three children, which have all completed treatment at McCormicks. My son, Louie, is a Marine, my oldest daughter, Dali, is a Nurse and my youngest, Jekelle, is in high school. Im also soon to be a grandma (aka Gigi) of 3.

Hi, Im Anna and I joined McCormick Orthodontics in May 2020, as a Treatment Coordinator. I feel very fortunate to work with a caring, supportive group of people, who truly care about taking great care of others. Dr. McCormick and Dr. Dave are wonderful leaders and educators and make coming to work a pleasure. I love meeting new people and helping others and my position as a Treatment Coordinator allows me to do both.

Im happily married to my husband, John, and we have three grown girls and two adorable grandsons. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially the grandsons! I enjoy reading, yoga, boating, camping and going to the beach.

I joined the McCormick Orthodontic team in June of 2018. I have transitioned through different roles in the office starting as a Scheduling Coordinator, then moving to assist in the Financial Department. My current role in the office is Treatment Coordinator. I enjoy being one of the people that welcomes new patients into our office.

I recently bought a home in Nottingham where I live with my husband, Brent and our variety of pets. In my free time I enjoy camping, spending time with my family and friends, and traveling to new places.

I am a Clinical Assistant and also take care of the ordering of supplies for the office. I have been with the practice since 1998. I am blessed to have a job that I truly enjoy coming to each day. Every day is exciting and new. I work with a great team and I enjoy seeing all the patients.

I became a member of McCormick Orthodontics back in 2013. When I joined the McOrtho team, I was a Clinical Assistant. I am now the in-house Lab Manager and am responsible for making many of the appliances that our patients are treated with.

My name is Brianna. I completed the Dental Assisting Program at Lancaster County Career and Technology Center in 2015, and I joined the McCormick team in 2016 as a Clinical Assistant/Invisalign Coordinator. I love connecting with each and every patient on a personal level. The most rewarding thing is seeing a patient with a giant smile on their face when they finally see the ending results of treatment!

I am a Clinical Assistant at Mccormick Orthodontics. I graduated from Avon Grove High School in 2016. I then attended technical school for dental assisting and got hired during my externship in July 2018. I started off in Sterilization and the Laboratory, later on moved to train in the clinic, where I now see all of our amazing patients. I enjoy working with our wonderful team. Im always learning something new from everyone.

I started at McCormick Orthodontics at the very end of 2018, but have over 10 years of experience as an orthodontic assistant. What I enjoy most about working at McCormick Orthodontics is talking with patients and being part of a fun and caring team that works so well together.

My husband Stephen and I settled in Oxford in 2010, after retiring from the Army and in 2015 became empty nesters. I am originally from California and my husband is from New York. We enjoy traveling and spending time with friends. I also like to draw, paint and sew when I have time.

I originally joined the practice in 1998 with Dr. Chaelas father, Joe, as a Sterilization Assistant. I was a Treatment Coordinator for 9.5 years. I had my first child in December 2008 and decided to be a stay home at home mom and raise my daughter. I now have 2 beautiful daughters and a wonderful husband.

I love working with children and missed the interaction of seeing patients. I rejoined the practice with Dr. Chaela in January 2019 as a Records Technician. I love what I do and the people I work with. I am so lucky to be part of this super team, McCormick Orthodontics!

Hi! My name is Theresa and I have been a Clinical Assistant here at McCormick Orthodontics since May 2019. I previously studied nursing until I discovered my passion for dentistry and orthodontics! I love that I can demonstrate the knowledge Ive learned from working with children to succeed as a member of the McOrtho team.

Being a part of McCormick Orthodontics is a blessing in many ways! I enjoy meeting new patients of all ages and watching the transformation in their smiles throughout treatment. Everyone on the McOrtho team is welcoming, helpful, and so fun to be around!

Outside of the office I love to spend my free time with my friends and family, whether it be going to the beach, Flyers hockey games, BBQs, bonfires, or just hanging out! My husband and I bought our first house in 2016 and live there with our 3 fur-babies! I love to travel and have been to Italy, Singapore, and a few islands in the Caribbean!

Hi! My name is Kaitlin, but I go by Kait in and outside of the office. I started at McCormick Office in 2021 as a sterilization and lab assistant. A few things I love about working at McCormick Orthodontics is experiencing and learning something new everyday, the amazing team, and seeing the growth of patients smiles!

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. I enjoy road trips with my husband, Phil, on our motorcycle and riding in the classic cars, reading, baking & cooking and spending time with my family. I also enjoy visiting Tennessee and Virginia, where most of my immediate family resides. My bucket list consists of a trip back to Ireland one day. Its always a joy to see multiple generations of familys in the office.

I started at McCormick Orthodontics in November of 2020 as a Patient Concierge as well as a Schedule Coordinator. I love working with such a great team that is always there to help one another. I am so happy to have found such an awesome group to work with!

I have 2 young boys, Bentley and Bryson, who I love spending time with, as well as my two fur babies, Dunkin and Donut. I enjoy the outdoors, especially going to the beach and outdoor concerts, and spending time with friends and family.

While you or your childs teeth might appear straight, an evaluation can sometimes uncover problems that can be corrected with proper orthodontic treatment. If you recognize any of the following issues, please call us to schedule a check-up. It may be one of the most important actions you can take to ensure a healthy, happy smile.

Its never too late, or too early, to begin orthodontic treatment. Weve examined children as young as three and have successfully treated patients in their seventies. Of course, while orthodontic treatment can be started at any age, many orthodontic problems are easier to correct if detected early, before jaw growth has slowed. Early treatment can help patients avoid surgery and more serious complications.

By the age of seven, the permanent teeth are beginning to come in and the upper jaw has grown to just about its maximum width. This is early enough to assess the jaw and teeth structure and begin to plan any interventions that will prevent extractions, surgeries and tooth loss.

At this age, we can use a number of orthopedic appliances to help the jaw bones attain their correct width and length, provide enough room for the permanent teeth so they dont come in on top of each other and interfere with tooth development.

Phase I, or early interceptive treatment, refers to limited orthodontic treatment (i.e. expander or partial braces) before all permanent teeth have come in. Such treatment can occur between the ages of six and ten. Phase I treatment is sometimes recommended to make more space for developing teeth, or to correct crossbites, overbites, underbites, or harmful oral habits.

Braces use steady, gentle pressure to gradually move teeth into their proper positions. We place brackets on your teeth and connect them with an archwire. As this archwire tries to return to its original shape, it applies pressure to move your teeth into alignment.

Not at all. However, we do recommend you protect your smile by wearing a mouth guard when participating in any sporting activity. Mouth guards are inexpensive, comfortable, and come in a variety of colors and patterns. We even offer them free of charge. Just ask!
