McClure Pediatric Dentistry of Frisco consists of special people who share the same vision and goals. The McClure Pediatric Dentistry Team is dedicated to providing the best in oral health care for infants, children and adolescents. They have over 20 years of combined experience in Dentistry and over 15 years of combined experience in Education. McClure Pediatric Dentistry of Frisco has a heart for building positive relationships with children and their families through communication and trust. They take the time to explain procedures so the children and parents better understand their needs or what is happening while in the dental chair. They also dedicate themselves to educating every patient and parent on the best prevention methods available.

Care is something that has been lost in a lot of areas within healthcare. That is sad since care is actually part of the word. Our dental practice is proud of the fact that we take the time to get to know our patients and their families. Of course we want to take care of your dental needs and take care of the oral health of your children, but we also want to know how they are doing in school, what they do outside of school, and what makes them special. We will take the time to have a conversation with you and your children because we do care and want to know about your family.
When you walk into the Frisco office we will make you feel welcomed. There will be a big hello and a smile to greet you when you open the door. Once upon a time kindness was taught through modeling, observation, and interaction. We want to bring those things forward again in our practice. Saying hello, shaking hands, listening to concerns, and opening our hearts to children are just some of the ways we model kindness to our patients.
Dr. Jon and his staff are very proud and happy to work in an office where honesty is a top priority. Whether they are talking to one another, a parent, or a patient, nothing is hidden. When children are in the chair being treated, Dr. Jon has a tell, show, do process that he uses for everything. Also, being that we try to promote education (especially about oral care) we explain what is going on, why it is happening, and what treatments are possible.
Education is a major part of what we do in our Frisco office. We do not want to just bandage problems; we want to fix the cause. A portion of each visit is set aside to talk about what may cause problems and how to prevent them from occurring in the first place. Also, there are things that happen within the mouth that are ;not the norm but that does not mean it is bad. Dr. Jon likes to take the time to discuss with the patient and parents what is happening with each patients dental health. Dr. Jon and his staff feel that they have a moral responsibility to prevent damage instead of just treating damage to the teeth.
Dr. Jon is a kid at heart. His wife will tell you that he is a pediatric dentist so that he never has to grow up. Shes probably right. Being the youngest of 4 children, having 14 nieces and nephews along with growing up with innumerable cousins, he has been around kids all of his life. His family is so big he would have to sit down with pen and paper to count them all. Thats probably because hes from Arkansas!
Working with children just comes natural to Dr. Jon. He spent most of his summers in high school volunteering at childrens camps and Vacation Bible schools. Hes also spent over seven years actively working in youth and childrens ministry. Hes actually a licensed minister! Not only that, hes also a certified teacher, having spent over 4 years teaching high school to graduate level courses. He has two undergraduate degrees from Ouachita Baptist University including a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies with a minor in Hebrew and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Thats pretty crazy, but hes a confessed nerd and loves it!
Dr. Jon eventually decided to go to dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry. After practicing General Dentistry for two years he finally realized what everyone had been telling him all along. He needed to specialize in pediatric dentistry. He attended a two-year residency program at Baylor College of Dentistry, which includes clinics at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and Childrens Medical Center. Looking back at his life, he used to think his career path wound all over the place, but now he can see that everything he did was leading to what he does now. It was the perfect path to mold him into the pediatric dentist he is today.
In his personal life, he is married to the most wonderful woman in the entire world, Meredith. Dr Jons favorite thing about Meredith is that she can make him belly laugh every day. If you havent heard Dr Jons belly laugh, you need to come by and check it out. Its very contagious! They have one daughter, Quinn Ann, who was born onThanksgiving Day 2012 and a little boy, Collin Wesley, who was born last August. Theyare both the biggest blessings!
Meredith played goalie at the University of Georgia and now catches babies as an OB/GYN at Frisco OB/GYN. In their free time, they love spending time with their families and watching college sports (Razorbacks or Bulldogs especially). They also have an English Bulldog named Maggie. When he is able to travel, Dr Jon loves to take part in Mission trips. He has been on over 8 trips to Mexico to provide free dental care at orphanages and churches. He has a passion for reading and usually has 3 or 4 books going at the same time.
Amy is the Office Manager at McClure Pediatric Dentistry and has worked in dentistry for 20years. She began as a chair side assistant and shined at that for 8 years. Even though she was an amazing chair side assistant, her employer realized her skills and abilities with people went far beyond helping the dentist in the operatory. She was given a promotion to move to the front office so she could work one on one with patients as a treatment coordinator. She greatly enjoyed that opportunity and excelled at it for another 7 years. After meeting Amy through a mutual friend, Dr Jon knew that he had to have heras a part of his dental team. He sought her out and she has been part of McClure Pediatric Dentistry since July 2012. Dr. Jon is more thankful every day for the abilities and insights that Amy brings to the office.
Lisa has been in dentistry for over 10 years. She graduated with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from Texas Womans University and has been a Dental Hygienist for over 9 years. Lisa has been with McClure Pediatric Dentistry since January 2015, but has known Dr. Jon and Amy since 2013. Shes been married to a wonderful man for over 7 years, and is a mother to an amazing son named Oliver, and 2 little dogs. When she is not working or taking care of the house, she likes to spend her time eating, shopping, traveling, baking, reading, playing video games, and watching movies (especially comic book movies). Lisas favorite time of year is Christmas time. She loves everything about it, especially participating in the Angel Tree. Her favorite quote is, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
Shelia has been in dentistry for more than 30 years, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our practice. She graduated from El Centro College in Dallas with an Associate Degree in Dental Assisting in 1985 and has been working in Pediatric Dentistry for most of her career. She started working for McClure Pediatric Dentistry in February 2016, and we are so happy to have her! Shelia is a Registered Dental Assistant and is Dr. Jons right hand woman! She says she loves coming to work everyday because its a positive environment and she gets to help make patients feel comfortable and leave happy. Shelia has one son, Aston, and enjoys spending her free time with family, friends and traveling. She enjoys taking long walks and working out with Texas Fit Chicks. Shes also an avid Turner Classic Movies fan.
Keishondra started working for McClure Pediatric Dentistry in August of 2017. She is thrilled to be part of the team, and is excited about using her administrative skills in the Scheduling Coordinator position. Keishondra met Dr. Jon while at her old job at Chase Bank about two years ago. Dr. Jon always enjoyed her smile and her warm presence and is excited that she is now on our team. In her free time, Keishondra likes to read, study the Bible, pray, sing, write songs and poetry, and watch movies. She also likes to go to church and spend time with her wonderful fianc Jevon.

Our son (8 years old) loves going to see Dr. Jon! We have a pleasant experience with every visit. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The facility is clean and inviting - our son loves getting to watch a movie while his teeth are being checked out! The staff is efficient and timely with their work (we have never had to wait to be seen), and they take great care to make sure the patient is comfortable and understands what is going to happen next. Dr. Jon is very friendly and personable, and also does a wonderful job explaining to the parent what the results of the exam are. If further work needs to be done, he is super clear with the patient about what is going to happen at each step, using language that kids can relate to. Our son has absolutely no fear about going to the dentist because he's had such great experiences here!

Dr. Jon has provided a 180 experience from our previous pediatric dentist. My daughter had a traumatic experience in the past, being told to sit on her hands while crying out in pain, her protests being ignored with repeatedly being patted and told "it's okay, it's okay," while things were clearly not okay. Then we switched to Dr. Jon. My very frightened child was met with such respect and compassion, never being rushed or fears dismissed. I was told on the first visit that if all they got done was build trust, that was a win! Yesterday she got fillings done, and we were both pleasantly surprised to see new technology being used that doesn't even include a drill! The patience and kindness of the staff is unparalleled. After we left, my daughter said, "I can't believe I wasted so much time being worried about that. It was actually... fun!" If you are looking for a place to turn a bad experience into a great one, Dr. Jon is your guy!! Edited to add: He also always gives a post-op text or phone call to follow up later that evening, allowing more time to ask questions you may have forgotten, or report any issues. I've never had a dentist that did that!

Dr. McClure is without a doubt the best doctor to have ever treated my boys. He starts out with a magic trick at their first meeting and each visit, he takes such care to explain things to them and to me. I absolutely love the entire office and am so grateful to have found our forever pediatric dentist office.

I highly recommend McClure Pediatric Dentistry. All of the staff is amazing and super kind! My son was scared of every dentist we took him to and wouldn't even open his mouth to get his teeth counted, until we came here. Now he is excited to go to the dentist and asks when his next appointment is as we are leaving the office. They put both the patient and parent at ease, explaining the procedures and asking if we have questions. I am so happy we found such an amazing dentist to care for my son. They are perfect for any kid but especially those who are fearful or shy.

I seriously have never met a dentist as patient as Dr. Jon. Both of my kids have some anxiety about procedures (one is on the spectrum) and Dr. Jon calmly answered all 5,000 questions and concerns they had and never pushed or made them uncomfortable in any way. My daughter ended up not following though and Dr. Jon never acted put out or annoyed in any way. And with my autistic son, he was so calm and gentle and made him feel at ease when it's super difficult to ever accomplish that with him. He ended up getting his procedure done and Dr. Jon was as ecstatic as I was over my son being able to overcome his fear!! I truly can't say enough good things about this man and his staff. (My husband just joked and asked if I was going to write a whole novel here about him and I probably could!) I give him 100/10 stars!

Maybe I'm a tiger mom, but the one thing that generally bugs me is when my child is treated like a baby or that they don't exist. don't appreciate dentists that don't ask her about her own teeth. Yes as a parent I can provide more logical feedback but I don't have her mouth or her teeth only what I notice which may not be fully correct. I'm also not standing behind her when she brushes her teeth. Jon found it awkward that I asked him to ask her where it hurt. Had he done that I would have been more than happy to give my additional opinion. Also when I ask what I can do to diminish her sharp pains, his response was that if it was constant pain to give her Tylenol, sadly that was not the question sharp sudden pain and constant pain is not the same treatment. I came home and asked my neighbors and friends for suggestions and they told me they had similar experiences with McClure dentistry. I'm now baffled that there are so many positive reviews and only one negative. I admit I may not have had the best demeanor but at no time did I raise my voice or say anything harsh, I only asked questions. But no matter what, we were the clients and my child is in pain, and you weren't able to find the issue nor give suggestions. Other than for us to get a second opinion, which I thank you for and we will.

I have had great experiences with McClure Pediatric Dentistry. The staff and Dr. Jon are super nice and do a great job! One of my sons had a very tough time going to 2 previous dentists, but we've never had a problem with the cleaning, fillings or x-rays at McClure Pediatric Dentistry like we did previously. I have peace of mind that my two children will have a positive experience and great care at McClure Pediatric Dentistry!

McClure Pediatric Dentistry has been such an amazing experience for our family. A few months ago, my daughter, age 5, was TERRIFIED of the dentist and unfortunately needed several fillings. As a mom I was very uneasy about her going in for fillings at her previous dentist, especially since her experiences were not good and she cried just from cleanings. We had a friend refer us to McClure Pediatric Dentiatry and had the BEST experience. My daughter was at ease the whole time and they were able to fill all of her cavities in one visit. She actually looks forward to seeing Dr. McClure and can't wait for her next visit. I HIGHLY recommend going to see Dr. McClure.

Our experience with McClure Pediatric Dentistry was amazing! Dr. Jon was great, and their entire staff made my sometimes timid 4 year old super comfortable and calm. They were very patient with him, and didn't push him to do anything he didn't want to do. He wanted to stand up while getting his teeth cleaned, and they were totally fine with that. They even took time to answer his million questions about their equipment and cool chair. I would 100% recommend them!

Best pediatric dentist ever!!! Dr. McClure is just the best. My daughter loves him. He is so patient and thorough and he honestly has the best interest of the kids in mind! He doesn't recommend un-needed treatment. His approach to dental care is just the best. We had to go through quite a few terrible experiences to finally finding this gem in Dr. McClure and his entire team. The ladies are fabulous and they are all so awesome! Can't brag about this place enough!!!

You will not find another office that will take care of your child like McClure. We have had everything from major dental work to simple cleanings done. Dr. Jon and his staff are patient and caring with all ages. I highly recommend this dentistry office to anyone who is looking for conservative dental care from a very caring dental office.
