Im Kishia, Dr. McClaflins dental assistant. I have been a part of the Mac team since June 2004. I have been in this career path since 1996 after graduating from Concorde Career Institute. Dentistry is my love and passion, and Im blessed to be able to say I truly love what I do.
While Ive heard it said that people cant imagine ever choosing dentistry as a career; for me, its a match made in heaven! I absolutely LOVE my chosen profession and cant even imagine ever doing anything else.
Im extremely grateful for the education Ive received. I am also fortunate to have graduated from such excellent schools. It gives my patients the confidence that they are in good hands and will get the high quality dental care that they deserve.
My education didnt end when I graduated. It actually was just the beginning. Every year since Ive graduated, Ive taken advanced courses and seminars so I can provide you with the latest sound materials, techniques, and treatments. I love growing along with my profession.
Through my membership and participation in professional organizations, I have an opportunity to share and learn from my peers. This creates an incredible brain trust from which I can tap into to provide you with the best quality care and service.
In my spare time, I spend alot of time cheering on my twins, Katie & Kyle, in their many sports activities. My husband John and I, both Iowans, visitour large extended families whenever possible. With the balance of my spare time I like to flower garden, read, and do jigsaw puzzles.

My husband and I are so happy with our dentist, Leslie McClaflin! We have had many dentists over the years due to frequent moves with the Navy but Dr. McClaflin is our favorite. I have never had trouble being seen quickly when I needed urgent attention, and, she is the absolute best at administering a painless shot before each procedure. The staff is great too. Everyone is very courteous and professional. Could not recommend her more highly!

Best place to go for dental care with awesome staff. While I could be considered biased since this is my sister in law, I travel 3 hours each way for appointments and have others where I live making the same trek. If you haven't experienced Leslie and her staff, give them a try. You won't go back to where you came from!!!

Dr. McClaflin has a great dental office. This isn't my favorite place to be but the entire office staff makes the visit better. It was my first time with a new Dental Hygienist, she was unbelievably the best I have ever had Not even one poke causing pain.

Dr. McClaflin, Keisha, and Tina have all been outstanding as my family and I I transitioned to their care. The receptionist both are great as well. This is our new family dentist and we're very happy about it

If there were more stars to give, I would! I am so afraid of the dentist and Kisha and Dr Leslie made me feel at ease and if I may say a little relaxed! They did a great job explaining everything, and talking about what treatments may be in my future! I highly recommend this office to anyone and everyone!!

Update 10/11/18 Went in today for my 6 month cleaning/check up. Another exceptional experience from the front desk to the chair and back. I've lived in KC for 5-6 years now, and I'm so thankful to have found a dentist I like and trust. Thank you again McClaflin team! -RP -----Original Review - 10/2017------ Today was my first time here as a new patient. Fantastic Doc and staff. All the 5 star reviews listed here are accurate. Cleanest and nicest dentist office I've ever been to... ever. I want to brag about how cool Dr. McClaflin is, but I don't want to take away anything from how equally awesome her staff is. This was not an assembly line dentist like I've been to every single time in the past. They genuinely get to know about you, about you personally, and what you desire from your dentist. They listen to you, which I feel is rare these days as a true personal demeanor in the service industry has gone downhill. I'll never go anywhere again unless I'm forced to. Well done McClaflin dentistry. See you soon for my cleaning.
