Dr. McKnight, III, a Kansas City native, did his undergraduate work at the University of Kansas, finishing in 1993. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the U.M.K.C. School of Dentistry in 1997 and completed his residency in periodontics in 2000. While at U.M.K.C., he distinguished himself academically including election to Phi Kappa Phi national honorary society, recognizing top students in their fields. He brings the latest innovations and techniques in our field and has pursued a special interest and emphasis in dental implants. Dr. McKnight maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, the Fifth District Dental Society and the Kaw Valley Study Club.
Dr. Oliver, another Kansas City native, did his undergraduate work at DePauw University. He returned to Kansas City to attend U.M.K.C. School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he received the American Academy of Periodontology Annual Student Award forOutstanding Achievement in Periodontics and was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a dental honorary society. He then completed a residency in periodontics at the University of North Carolina and returned to Kansas City in 1984to join Dr. Mcknight, III's father in practice. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics,the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, the Fifth District Dental Society, the Kaw Valley Study Club and the Seattle Study Club.

Excellent practice that I am very thankful to have found! I saw Dr. Oliver today and had a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful and Dr. Oliver made me feel very comfortable, thoroughly explained everything, and what my options are moving forward with my gum recession. I was put at ease, and left feeling confident in our care plan moving forward.

Dr. Oliver is always great about explaining the issues with my gums, different options and the cost for each. I couldn't imagine a better dentist.

Having seen Dr. Oliver for nearly three decades, I can honestly say he is the best periodontist/dentist I have ever had. I have lived in Boston, LA and San Diego and always used top-of-the-line professionals. I cannot compliment Dr. Oliver and his dental work enough !
