1 Gillotti Rd, New Fairfield, CT 06812

Dr. McKenna continued the family tradition and became one of fourteen orthodontists in the McKenna family after graduating from the UConn School of Dental Medicine in 1996 and the UConn School of Orthodontics in 1999. Dr. McKennas warm and friendly office and staff reflecthis commitment to family tradition and excellence.

Dr. McKenna not only devotes his care toward the Greater Danbury area, but also toward the betterment of the orthodontic community. He traveled to the Dominican Republic to provide his exceptional care to those less fortunate.

He is published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and contributed research to the National Institutes of Health. He is a memberof the American Association of Orthodontics in New England, the Northeast Orthodontics Society, and the Connecticut State Dental Association (CDSA). As a part of the New-Conn Study group, Dr. McKenna strives to continue his own education and educate his fellow professionals in the orthodontic community. He is one of few orthodontists in the area to offer cutting-edge technologysuch as the Wilckodontics procedure and the cone beam 3D CT scan.

Wilckodontics: McKenna Orthodontics is the only orthodontic office in the Greater Danbury area to offer the Wilckodontic procedure! The procedure will give you the same beautiful smile as conventional braces but works three to four times faster!

Invisalign: Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell youre wearing. Soyou can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is made with 3D computer-imaging technology and has been proven effective.

Clear Ceramic Braces: Ceramic braces are the number-one choice for aesthetic braces worldwide. Clear braces are smooth, sculpted, and translucent, and wont stain or discolor. More than 14 years of clinical experience have shownclear bracestreat as swiftlyand effectively as metal braces.

Cone Beam: McKenna Orthodontics is proud to offer the most cutting-edge imaging system. The Cone Beam Computed Tomography machine uses a cone-shaped X-ray beam to produce a 3D image of the skull. The Cone Beam is similar to a regular medical CT scanner found in hospitals, but it exposes the patient to ten times less, or 80% radiation than the medical CT. It is much more efficient than a standard X-ray machine, since it can take a 3D image anddiscern between many types of tissue, including bone, teeth, nerves, and soft tissue.

For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If youre self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.

When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile youve always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, soour practice is dedicated to making sure you receive the quality care you deserve.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great time to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors, including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help to ensurea quicker treatment time.

All the staff are very nice and friendly. Lauren and Kris are very kind and helpful when trying to make appointments to accommodate my busy schedule. Dr. McKenna is very personable and extremely knowledgeable in his field. I had 2 daughters with braces which are now off and their teeth look fantastic. My youngest daughter is going to him as well and she has different teeth issues and Dr. McKenna has been nothing but extremely supportive and helpful. Thank you for all you do! Highly recommend Dr. McKenna!
