Dr. Matthew Coon, DDS, was born and raised in Bayard, Nebraska and comes from a long line of healthcare professionals. Dr. Coon attended dental school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in Lincoln, Nebraska and has been practicing since 2009. Before opening MC Family Dentistry in January of 2020, Dr. Coon was the Dental Director at the Gering, Nebraska Community Action Health Center (CAPWIN) from 2012-2019.
Dr. Coons goal is to provide complete dental care to the panhandle community. His patients will experience a hometown feel that lets them know that they are family at MC Family Dentistry. There is never a rush or pressure to receive additional dental service or expensive treatment plans. Dr. Coon has your best interest in mind and is here to provide dental services with compassion and patience.
My name is Andrea Blanco and I am Dr. Coons dental assistant. My goal for our patients is to put them at ease throughout their treatment and to make their dental visit a wonderful experience from beginning to end. After graduating from Mia-Plains in 2001, I began my career in the dental field. It is my passion to serve your dental needs and I look forward to meeting you.
I grew up in Scottsbluff, NE., although my second home is in Montana. My family comes first, and that is what brought me back home, to Scottsbluff. I love being able to spend time with my family. My first love is my 8-year-old son, Griffen. When I am not at one of his football or baseball games, you will find me doing something physically active. I enjoy walking, hiking, lifting and dancing.

I had a lot of dental work that needed done after having not gone to the dentist in over 6 years. They never made me feel bad about the problems I had, they just focused on making a plan with me to fix it. They even changed their treatment plan for me to take care of my front teeth cavities before my wedding. A very kind and helpful staff!

They are wonderful. Just had all teeth pulled and got dentures. They have been very patient with adjustments needed and honest on what to expect. They also are very affordable. Photos are before and after.

My husband drives truck. While out on the road he had an injury and needed to see a dentist. MC Family Dentistry treated him like family even though he was just passing through. Ann the office manager went above and beyond to help me with paperwork. Matt's dentistry skills saved my husbands front tooth. If you are in Gearing, NE this is the dentist for you.

Had to have an extraction done asap. They got me in a fast as they could. The entire staff are very open to discuss your dental options. They were very diligent in you not being uncomfortable or in any pain. This will definitely be my family dentist now. Thank you all so much.

I just had an old root canal tooth removed. Everything was explained thoroughly, I was not rushed, and the dentist and his assistant were so gentle and caring. I do not think I want to go to another dentist ever again. His whole staff was welcoming and amazing! I wish I could give ten stars instead of five.
