Hubbard Orthodontics - Orthodontist in Lewisville, TX

My story begins in Carlsbad, New Mexico, where I was born and raised. As the eldest son with three other siblings, I made it my personal responsibility to be out of the house as much as possible and was picking up odd jobs by the time I was in 6th grade. This included running paper routes, bagging groceries, working for the natural gas company, and painting at a local furniture store.

Throughout high school I enjoyed keeping my days busy with the Business Professionals of America, running track, and becoming an all-district linebacker on our high schools football team. I met my future wife Jilian in 6th grade, but it was not until we became ballroom dance partners in high school that I knew she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. After working in a volunteer health clinic in college and coming back to visit my local orthodontist, I decided that I wanted to become an orthodontist myself.

2006 remains one of the biggest years of my life as I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry from Oklahoma State University, I married Jil, and I moved to Dallas to start dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry.

Just as in high school, I kept myself busy with a wide variety of activities including mission trips to Matamoros, MX, becoming a sports representative on the student council, being voted the president of the dental fraternity Psi Omega, and being involved as covenant members of the Village Church (which allowed us to become acquainted with the Highland Village area and its amazing community). Jill remained a voice teacher throughout dental college and kept me sane as I entered into my 3-year residency for Orthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry.

Residency was a time of great growth, both personally and in our family. I worked as a general dentist on Saturdays and weeks off from residency, gaining valuable experience in a non-academic setting. My oldest son, Ethan, was born during the second year of my residency and my second son, Evan, was born right after my graduation in August of 2013. An opportunity did arise for me to head back to my hometown and work in an orthodontic practice, but I found myself returning to Highland Village after just 18 months.

Since opening MB Orthodontics in 2015, my family and I have continued to fall in love with this world-class community. Jil is heavily involved in serving at our church, First Baptist of Lewisville, and our sons love their friends and teachers at Coram Deo Academy.

I am excited to continue to build relationships with local schools, sports teams, and families in the hope that our practice can offer locals the orthodontic services that they need for healthy, straight, and beautiful smiles.

  • Plan on being at our office for approximately 1 hour. During your visit, you will meet with our Patient Coordinator who will take photos of your teeth and a CBCT scan to evaluate bone health, tooth structure, and position. Then Dr. Brown will meet with you one on one to discuss your questions, concerns, or goals.
  • If Dr. Brown determines treatment is necessary, he will develop a customized treatment plan especially for you. Next we will discuss treatment details with you, including the financial investment for your treatment.
  • The team at MB Orthodontics accepts a number of different payment options so that your dental services are as simplified and stress-free as possible. This includes major credit cards, cash, checks, and in house financing. If you have any questions about our payment policies, please feel free to contact us at any time.

Understanding exactly what your financial obligations will be with your specific insurance policy can be confusing, but we are only a phone call away to help your through this process. MB Orthodontics accepts many major insurance providers, and our team will help you discern which treatments will be covered by your own policy. If you are responsible for a copay, this will be due at the time of service.

A health savings account is a unique option for those that would like to refrain from using their insurance policy or paying out of their pocket at the time of their treatment. You have the ability to add as much or as little to these accounts as you would like with no federal income tax at the time of deposit. At the end of the fiscal year, these funds will be tax deductible.

Much like a health savings account, a flex spending account is a federally recognized savings account that is created specifically for healthcare expenses. Instead of personally depositing money into this account, your employer will deposit part of your paycheck before taxes are taken out. You can then use any of the money in this account for medical or dental services.
