In 2008, after completing his endodontic residency, Dr. Maz wanted to provide mentorship for future dental professionals, thus he began to instruct the NSU dental students. Now that Dr. Maz is back in his hometown of Los Angeles, California, he continues teaching at UCLA, College of Dental Medicine, at the pre-doctoral and postgraduate levels. In addition to being an Endodontist, he is also an implantologist, which means he took an extra course for extractions and implants. To further provide a more comfortable environment for his patients, Dr. Maz studied at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry to become certified in moderate IV sedation. IV sedation can be used for all the services. Dr. Maz is a member of the American Dental Association, the Los Angeles Dental Society, Beverly Hills Academy of Dentistry, and the Iranian-American Dental Association.

Occasionally, endodontic procedures will fail and an endodontic surgery called an Apicoectomy is needed. An Apicoectomy is when the endodontist flaps open the gum tissue that is near the tooth to see the underlying bone and to remove any inflamed or infected tissue.

While on vacation, my son needed emergency dental care. I called Dr. Maz and he saw us the same morning and took wonderful care of him. The lady in the office was amazing as well. I was very grateful for their expertise and caring nature.

Visiting from out of town my tooth started to really bother me. In 24 hours went from bothersome to excruciating. Found DR.MAZ on google and I'm honestly so glad I did. Extremely kind and available 24/7. Did two root canals on me at 11:30 at night. I couldn't believe it. All I have to say is thank God for this man.

Had a toothache that quickly snowball into excruciating pain. It got to a point one day where I couldnt eat or sleep. If I didn't have ice directly on my tooth for 5 seconds the tooth would start aching, then the entire half of my face, then after about 25 seconds I would be writhing in the worst physical pain I've ever felt My dentist was closed and Urgent Care said they couldn't do anything besides prescribe ibuprofen, which, ya know, won't come close to stopping any pain from an inflamed nerve At 630 PM I googled "emergency dentists la", found Dr. Maz and immediately set up and appointment for 715. He ran tests, did X-Rays and performed a pain free root canal at a moment's notice. I walked out of his office almost in tears that my pain was gone. As if all that wasn't enough, he was calm, patient and down to earth the entire time. I know it's his job, but I'm really grateful to Dr. Maz for how much he helped me and appreciate his his excellent work ethic Call him for any dental issue you may have

I called Dr. Maz at night because I just couldn't endure the pain of my wisdom tooth anymore. It was do bad I could barely function. Dr. Maz agreed to meet with me and not only did he pull the tooth and stop my pain, he made me feel at ease through out the whole process. It is bar the least painful and thorough experience I have had in terms of dental care. I can't recommend him highly enough!

I am super grateful for Dr. Maz in not only seeing me on such short notice, but really taking his time in professionaly explaining the process of my root canal status while being extremely conservative with his process and procedure. He tested each tooth to ensure his pragmatic approach was limited to the concentration area of pain and quickly went to work to help. Dr. Maz had a fantastic attitude talking me through each step and prepared me for every moment of potential discomfort during the procedure making me feel completely aware and at ease. Thankfully, the procedure was painless because he took every precaution to protect me and save my tooth. Overall, the facility is clean, professional and proactively sterile, especially during this pandemic. The staff was awesome, and the pain was gone immediately after the procedure leaving me to go about my day and embark on my next meal. I urge you to call his office immediately if you're in pain. Can't express the gratitude I have for Dr Maz. My molar tooth started hurting 1 week ago. It was a throbbing pain that radiated to head, ear and neck. I could not get an appointment with my primary dental care provider for 1 week. I have visited urgent care, primary care physician and immediate care, where I received prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medications. I could not get a referral to a dentist anywhere. While waiting in the ER with so much pain at midnight, I have luckily found Dr. Maz on a google search. I called him at 2 am and he got me in his office at 2:30 am. Dr.Maz was incredibly kind and passionate, made me feel comfortable, and cared for. He did a root canal on my tooth and it was painless. At the same time, he was keeping me informed about the procedure. Best of all, he followed up with me after my appointment to make sure I am good. He charged me reasonable fee for the root canal procedure (consultation for free!) as I didn't have the coverage. Super impressed all around! I am incredibly happy that I don't have to deal with the unbearable toothache ever again. Thank you Dr. Maz for all that you do! PLEASE CALL HIM IF YOUR ARE IN PAIN.

At around 10PM on 3/16/2020, I went to Dr. Maz for a emergency root canal treatment. Dr. Maz not only treated the terrible pain I was having but was explaining every detail what he was doing. It was my first time having a root canal treatment. No pain at all. I was nervous at first but soon it went away. I felt comfortable. He is professional doctor and he is flexible at anytime. It is true that he is available 24/7. Incredible doctor. Later in the morning I received a call from his staff about how I felt and a reminder for my follow up appointment. Thank you for the care. I highly recommend whoever needs a emergency root canal treatment. Once again thanks and high praise to Dr. Maz and to the staff members. Now I can work well and be fully concentrated.

I had to see a dentist urgently regarding an annual exam for the military and I was pressed for time. This doctor took off from his personal time after working a late night the day before to see me and help me get my issue squared away THAT SAME DAY and be deemed fit for full duty for the Navy. I usually get nervous when it comes to dental procedures. After reading the reviews in here I gave it a try for my first root cannal and I couldn't be happier with my decision. He was checking for any pain the whole time. I feel it couldn't have been more comfortable under the circumstances. The entire process from making the very first appointment all the way to the second visit for the root cannal was very professional. Thank you both for making a scary experience a good one to be told.

Had too come in for an emergency root canal at 8 7:30 pm. I was in the chair being worked on within an hour of calling. Couldn't recommend coming here enough if you're in pain.
