A native of Indiana, Dr. Lakisha Arif-Holmes attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001 in Environmental Science. After graduating from Purdue, she worked as an Environmental Scientist for a consulting and engineering firm. Although she enjoyed her experience, she maintained aspirations to become a dentist.
Dr. Arif-Holmes attended Marquette University School of Dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2008. Upon graduation, Dr. Arif-Holmes continued her education further and completed a one year General Practice Residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN where she gained great experience in working with medically compromised patients as well as patients who have cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Having grown up in an underserved health area, Dr. Arif-Holmes has always had a passion for giving back and helping to increase access to care for the underinsured and uninsured. She was a recipient of the National Health Scholars program where she worked in public health. Her time practicing dentistry in Wisconsin has mostly been spent in the city of Beloit. There, she provided care not only in the traditional dental setting, but was very active in providing dental care in the local schools and hospital in Beloit.
In 2014, Dr. Arif- Holmes moved to Milwaukee area to continue practicing dentistry in the public health sector at both a major teaching hospital and local community health clinic. Dr. Arif-Holmes entered the dental profession with hopes of making dentistry a positive and comfortable experience for her patients. She believes in a comprehensive approach towards dentistry and educating patients to recognize the significance of maintaining good oral health.
Dr. Arif-Holmes enjoys being active in the profession and is a member of several professional and community organizations. Dr. Arif-Holmes serves as Co-chair for Give Kids A Smile Day which provides free dental screenings for the underserved. Although Dr. Arif-Holmes was born in Northwest Indiana, she considers Wisconsin home. She currently lives in Wauwatosa with her husband Jonathan and their two daughters. She enjoys cooking, music, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
Kristine has over a decade of experience in oral healthcare and has been with Mayfair Family Dentistry since Moving to Wauwatosa. She completed her training at Blackhawk Technical College. The highlight of her day is helping patients feel safe and secure while receiving dental care.Kristine lives in Wauwatosa wither husband and two children. With her family she enjoys visiting the zoo, local parks, and many other activities the Milwaukee area has to offer. In the rare event of a babysitter, she and her husband enjoy visiting local breweries.

Great personalities here!!!! They made me feel extremely comfortable from start to finish!!! They treated me with so much love and respect and as I watched them interact with the other patients they also treated them with love and respect and I was very happy to see this treatment!!!! This was my first time at Mayfair Family Dentistry. I normally am very scared to go to a dentist, even more terrified of a new dentist. As soon as I walked in the front door I felt calm, no fear. The receptionist was so nice and welcoming. When I got taken back, Barb, the dental hygienist took care of me. I was with her an hour and a half, doing the new patient exams. I was never scared, she was so kind and gentle, I felt so relaxed. She was such a wonderful person. Then last, I saw Dr. Holmes. I already knew through a family member how wonderful she was. Now I saw first hand. She is a kind, sweet, person. I didn't need any dental work, but when I do, I won't be scared, I know I will be in good hands. I know Dr. Holmes is a kind, gentle caring person, and very knowledgeable. I am so fortunate to have her as my dentist. I plan on staying here a long time. Thank you. Janice Anello

Dr. Holmes saw me for a dental emergency. I had an infected wisdom tooth. Dr. Holmes and her staff moved up my appointment and removed the tooth with the least amount of pain I have ever experienced during a dental procedure. The procedure was quick and efficient.
