Dr. Shaun Mayatte grew up in the Crossgates neighborhood and attended Brandon High School. After studying at Hinds Community College, he graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. In 2000, Dr. Mayatte graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry. He then practiced in Columbia and Jackson, Mississippi for several years before coming home to Brandon to open Mayatte Family Dentistry. He has completed training at the Misch International Implant Institute as well as courses in complex restorative dentistry from Frank Spear at the Scottsdale Center for Advanced Dental Education and Howard Chasolen at the Chasolen Centre in Sarasota, Florida. He is currently working on his mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the Mississippi Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Mayatte and his wife, Claire, live in Brandon with their two daughters, Audrey and Paige. They are members of First Baptist Church of Brandon. When not practicing dentistry, he loves spending time in the great outdoors by either training for a triathlon, hunting whatever is in season or fishing with Claire and the girls.
Dr. Claire Pugh Mayatte grew up in Louin, Mississippi in Jasper County. She attended Mississippi College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology then continued on to the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry from which she graduated in 2004. Dr. Claire practiced in Flowood, Mississippi before coming to Mayatte Family Dentistry in 2007. She and her husband, Shaun, are raising their two girls, Audrey and Paige, in Brandon and are members of First Baptist Church of Brandon. When not taking care of her patients or family, she loves fishing, reading, planting flowers or baking something sweet.
Dr. Burke grew up in the Brandon community and attended Brandon High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Mississippi College. She then went on to complete her education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry. Dr. Burke is a member of the Mississippi Dental Association, American Dental Association, Mississippi Association for Women Dentists and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Burke is currently enrolled in a course through the Academy of Gp Orthodontics where she is learning the practice of orthodontics using the Differential Straight Arch Technique. This comprehensive course will allow our patients to have orthodontic treatment completed in our office.
Dr. Burke is married to Thad Burke and together, they have a son, Sawyer Bridges Burke. In her spare time, Dr. Burke enjoys cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels, spending time with her family and friends and completing her latest Pinterest project. She and her family reside in Brandon and are members of Pinelake Church Reservoir.
Melissa has been a dental hygienist for the last 11 years after earning her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2003. She was raised in Greenville and her husband is from Vicksburg. They reside in Brandon with their 10 year old dog Gabby. In her spare time Melissa enjoys baking and being crafty.
As a member of the Mayatte Family Dentistry team for the last 2 years, Teresas goal is to help her patients maintain good oral health and achieve their healthy, beautiful smiles. After attending Brandon High School, Teresa continued her education at The University of Mississippi Medical Center earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2011. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists Association.
One of our longest serving employees, Amanda has been with Mayatte Family Dentistry for over 10 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2002. Amanda loves getting to know her patients and ensuring that they always have a positive enriching experience at MFD.
Amanda is married to Patrick Grissom and together they have two children, Kaylee and Kolt. In her spare time Amanda enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She is also a member of Crossgates Baptist Church.

I am not a dentist person at all! I love these people. They listened to my concerns and fears. They have been so nice, caring and have gone out of their way to make me comfortable and have a happy, no fear experience. I see Dr. Lensing, she is the BEST, love her! A five star dentistry- clean, very caring helpful front desk, friendly and the whole staff is there to make your experiencce a happy comfortable experience. Excellent experience! I am usually not to comfortable with dental visits but this was the best visit I ever had. The staff was amazing and very nice. Thank you for a great visit! I would recommend them everyday of the week. They are amazing!

Holly was very knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail during my cleaning. Dr. Mayatte is the best dentist in Rankin County. He listens to your needs and explains to you with state-of-the-art technology and pictures of what is causing the problem with your teeth or gums. The front desk always has a positive attitude and joyful spirits. The billing department explained everytime to my understanding. For all your dentist needs I highly recommend Mayatte Family Dentist.

I highly recommend Mayatte Family Dentistry for anyone seeking high-quality dental care in a very friendly and patient-centered environment. Prior to my first appointment, it had been quite a long time since I had sought dental care. Anxiety was my main barrier, from my fear of the dentist office to my fear of unexpected costs. I have dental insurance through my employer which did cover the preventative care needed (e.g. X-rays, cleaning). My hygienist readily brought up the costs in the computer for procedures under my plan before we proceeded with each step. This was a great relief--no surprises! (Turns out I need one filling, which I will get at a follow-up visit, so she ran the cost of it and gave me a preview so I would know my cost ahead of the next appointment.) My hygienist explained every step in every part of the process before moving forward, including about how long the cleaning would take, what she was looking for during her assessment, and concerns that she would notify Dr. Bridges about. Dr. Bridges performed her assessment and gave me feedback and helpful tips. Dr. Bridges and her team were friendly, thorough, and efficient throughout the whole process. Again, I highly recommend Mayatte Family Dentistry to anyone looking for high-quality dental care. Thanks!

Best dentist office I have ever been to and I have had plenty of dental work done. Everyone from the receptionist to the dentist was so nice and helpful. My dentist actually sat down with me to give me options for the work I needed done. Would highly recommend Mayatte Family Dentistry.

Dr. Burke and her staff are amazing!! I usually hyperventilate during dentist appointments. They kept me totally distracted, and the filling was done before I realized they had even started. The best thing....nothing hurt!!!! Love them!!!
