Dr. Govostes received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire and then went to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he received his dental degree (D.M.D.) and then later his specialty training in Periodontology. Dr. Govostes is a Board Certified Periodontist. Dr. Govostes limits his clinical practice to the field of Periodontics which focuses on patient education as well as the preservation of teeth through various non-surgical and surgical therapy modalities in the treatment of gum diseases (periodontitis), as well as implant dentistry and the treatment of other oral pathologic conditions associated with the mouth.
Graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1998, licenced in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Member of the ADA and MDS, Dr. Mayani brings his vast experience in all aspects of general dentistry to this practice, his experience in oral surgery, implant placement and restoration will bring high quality and affordability of high end dentistry to more patients than ever before.
As the owner of this practice his focus is to give every patient a perfect experience every time they visit the office. Working with the top specialists and utilizing the latest advances in dental technology he will provide the best care for the patients.
Dr. Sood graduated from Boston University, Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, and is associated with the ADA and MDS. She works as a general dentist who provides high-quality restorative work, along with endodontic and minor oral surgical procedures. Dr. Sood provides quality care for adults and children. Before attending Boston University, she received her Bachelors of Dental Surgery from India, in 2010. Besides dentistry, she enjoys spending time alongside family and friends. Swimming and exercise are top priority during her free time. On the weekends, she loves to explore new restaurants and landscapes.

After my appointment, I spoke to my previous dentist in San Diego. They looked at my chart/X-rays from my appointment earlier this year (March 2022, 4 months ago) and said that I was likely egregiously oversold on unnecessary treatment. They recommended I get a second opinion. Based on yelp reviews, it looks like this is a common occurrence for this practice. I wish I had done my due diligence before making an appointment.

It's a terrible place. My husband had a tooth implant here, it fallen off in one month. It fallen off again yesterday. When he went to here. The same doctor told him won't responsible for the poor treatment. Even it happened in a very short time after tooth implant. The doctor is very rude and unprofessional. The only asking is pay, wouldn't have a words. Just pushing the patient pay! Pay! Pay! It's awful. Won't be there anymore.

I went on a Friday. I visited because a few months ago I started to notice I had very bad breath, had wilder gap between teeth and gum inflammation. I figured probably I picked up some kind bacteria. I use floss, brush my teeth, use mouth wash everyday but the bacteria is so stubborn, the bad smell and inflammation persist. So I went to this place. They gave me x ray, saw receding bones. And examined my mouth, saw biofilm on my teeth. I expressed concerns I have bacteria infection causing bad smell and inflammation. But they seems not care, just gave me a cleaning. And, it's Friday afternoon, they did a very fast and rough cleaning only in order to get me out of there so they can go home. They even sold me a $40 mouth wash when I left, I had a feeling it's not gonna work, but used it anyway as they instructed. As expected, it did not remove the bad breath after used it a week. I went to another dentist, after hearing my story they collected sample of my saliva and identified the bacteria. They gave me antibiotics and my bad breath and the inflammation finally goes away.

I 100% recommend Mayani Dental Brighton. Great customer service and great quality of work. They take many dental insurances and prices are reasonable.

I implanted a tooth in Mayani Dental Brighton. About one month later, the tooth fell out. Last week, the tooth fell out again. They asked me to pay them more than $300. The doctor wouldn't say anything but push patients pay! pay! Pay! they don't care patients. what they only want is money. they are so irresponseble and unprofessional. look at their response, the only thing still asking money. can you imagin the tooth fallen off in one moneth after the tooth implant? then fallen off again after one year and half? Be careful to this place

MD was nice, helpful and I believe she treated my teeth very well. The problem is, they charge you $50 new patient fee at the beginning. When I talked with them, they clearly stated that $50 will be refunded after my first appointment. After my appointment, I asked for my refund but the lady on the front desk says they can not refund it in case my health insurance does not cover the treatment?!? So I asked my insurance provider about my treatment, and they say the whole treatment will be covered by insurance. I talked with the front desk lady several times, informing her that my insurance covers everything but she keeps giving the same answer. They did not refund the fee even after my insurance paid them for the treatment. So, the refundable new patient fee is a scam. You will not get it back. MDs are not interested with your problem. You just have the front desk lady to ask for your refund. And, she gives you the same ridiculous answer each time. They simply steal from you by lying.

Very friendly staff. I loved the fact that they checked my insurance plan for prices before they did any work. Dr. Sood was kind and engaging. She explained the work that I needed to have on my teeth and fixed my teeth. 10/10 recommend for your next dental work.

Dr. Sood & the Brighton team were absolutely amazing. She is the one and only dentist I trust with my mouth. She is so sweet and makes sure my experiences are always smooth. She was quick & efficient while still making sure I didn't feel a thing! Rosie even held my hand because she knew how scary needles are for me. The whole office is clean and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about Mayani Dental Brighton!

Not going to pretend I love going to the dentist, but if I am going to see a dentist I am very happy to be going to Mayani Dental. I've been to both the Brighton and Financial District locations and both are great. Was last at the Brighton location and the staff members were fantastic and friendly as always.
