Dr. May is the only full time orthodontist to live and practice in Lincoln County, where he has lived and practiced for over 25 years. Because he lives here on the coast, Dr. May is readily available for emergency care when necessary, and can even see his patients on unscheduled days at his office if a hardship should arise. Dr. May believes that his patients needs should always come first. He shows a great deal of pride in his work, spending many hours in continuing education courses to keep up on the latest advances in orthodontic care. He believes each patient is unique and they should be treated with the utmost care to obtain the best results possible.
Dr. May has used many different types of braces over his years in practice; he is currently using Damon Braces.? Dr. May believes this is highest quality brace available today and recommends it to most of his patients. He believes the Damon Brace not only gives his patients a fuller, more beautiful smile, but he finds that use of this type of brace means he rarely has to remove healthy permanent teeth.
Dr. May has been a specialist in orthodontics for over 25 years.? He attended the prestigious Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon where he received his Doctor of Dentistry degree. After receiving his degree Dr. May spent two years in the Navy practicing general dentistry at Great Lakes Naval Training Center just north of Chicago. He then attended the University of Washington and received his Master of Science in Dentistry and his Specialist Degree in Orthodontics. Dr. May is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists, and is the current president of the Oregon Damon Study Club.
Dr. May is proficient using all forms of appliances to correct malocclusions and straighten teeth.? He uses a range of approaches, including standard braces, retainers and Invisalign to correct both childrens and adults teeth.? Most patients are treated using the Damon braces (both clear and metal) because Dr. May believes the Damon Brace is the most sophisticated and best brace on the market to date.?
