Dr. Maupin and Dr. Brown share one major thing in common:They love helping their patients smile!Especially since those are the smiles theyll be seeing around town in the grocery store, on the ball field, and as fellow community volunteers.
It was their dream to createa different kind of dental office, one that felt more like anextension of homethan a cold medical office that tends to make even the most collected person break into a sweat.
Its in their nature to serve community members, like you, especially when youre experiencing discomfort even if their books are full.Theyll find a way to work you in and make your experience as pain-free as possible. And, their staff is just as friendly and focused on your needs.
Both doctors havewide-ranging degrees and specialized trainings, but what theyre most proud of are the hundreds of positive customer reviews theyve collected over the years.Theyre eager to change the way you feel about going to the dentist, too.

Dr. Paul joined Maupin and Brown in August, 2015 and is so glad to be a part of a great practice. He previously worked in Carlsbad and Hobbs. For Craig, dentistry is a second career. He earned his DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2010 at the age of 40. Prior to dentistry Craig spent 15 years as a minister and teacher, and as his wife says, a professional student. What attracted Craig to a career in dentistry was his personal esteem for education along with the prospect of serving and engaging people in a more practical, immediate, tangible, and specialized manner. Craig continues to appreciate these qualities in dentistry, along with the skill and the art of it, but he most enjoys the very genuine, caring, and personal interaction he has with each of his patients. Craigs wife Laura also came to dentistry later, after careers in nursing and education, and now works alongside him as a hygienist. They very much enjoy working together. Craig and Laura have 3 grown children. Hannah is 22 and studying to be a dentist as well. Nathan is 20 and studying Mechanical Engineering at NM Tech. Jordan is 19 and studying Finance at UNM. Craig and Laura live in Ruidoso, NM, and enjoy traveling, hiking, relaxing in the scenery, and walking their two dogs. Craig also enjoys backpacking and skiing with his kids, as well as spending time writing.
