Digital X-rays allow our team to enhance detailed images of a patients teeth and jaw. They are also quicker, more convenient, and involve far less radiation exposure than traditional X-rays. We also use 3D X-rays and panoramic X-rays.

Dr. Ji Kim received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Since then, he has devoted many hours to continuing education courses and has become certified in cosmetic orthodontics (Invisalign). He is a fellow member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and has taken numerous courses in implantology to provide exceptional dental implant care. From 2014 to 2019, Dr. Kim was voted by his peers as one of Hawaiis Best Dentists in Honolulu Magazine. Dr. Kim believes that patients always come first, and he always strives to do his very best for each and every patient.
Dr. Wee was born in Korea and moved to California when he was 16. He went to school at Pacific Union College and Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in California and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He practiced in the state of Washington before he came to Hawaii. He has received training in smile design and Lumineers minimal-prep veneers. He was voted by his peers as one of Hawaiis Best Dentists in Honolulu magazine multiple times. Dr. Wee enjoys basketball, tennis, and playing computer games. He likes spending time with his family and his goal is to treat patients as family members and be happy.

Dr.Kim is a wonderful dentist. He is straight to the point and is amazing at what he does. His team is always friendly and professional. I absolutely love this dental office and I recommend them all the time to the people I work with.

I loved getting my teeth cleaned here! The location is very convenient with great parking availability across from the McDonalds in Mauka. The office is very clean and well air conditioned. My dental technician was so sweet and adorable. Disney piano music was playing the entire time my cleaning was being done so in my head I was singing along to every song. The dental technician was very gentle and my whole cleaning was a very pleasant experience. The dentist is very nice and explained financing options for updating my future teeth straightening retainers. The staff was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

That was a great experience. They actually took a lot of time explaining every step of the treatment and I felt very comfortable. The TV show during the treatment is the BEST idea ever. The facilities are extra clean, and everybody are nice and extra professional. I highly recommend them.

I'm a person that likes to compliment people when I get good service but at the same time also will let people know when I get bad service this was my first visit at this Dental place and the people at the front desk wasn't very friendly at all. Bernie wasn't too bad but the other woman was very unfriendly. Being this was my first visit I had some questions but the one woman was kind of rude very impatient, like she was getting irritated that I was asking questions. I don't think everyone in the front desk is bad I got good service when I Called on the phone. However my hygienist and the dentist was great. Ariel my hygienist was awesome very nice friendly very thorough, gentle was very patient and explained everything to me. Ariel made me feel very comfortable. Wish I remembered the dentist name but he was good. My suggestion is if you do decide to get the in-house insurance plan ask questions so you understand exactly how the plan works,cuz it's kind of tricky.

I had a great visit at Mauka Family Dental Dr. Wee took his time to explain everything. The huge rust was great! Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend if you are looking for a dentist.

They got me in and out pretty quickly & The staff was very friendly! My dental anxiety was definitely eased while there & I really appreciated that they had a TV above you to watch while getting your cleaning/exam. Thank you, I'll be returning!

First time visiting a Dentist in over 15 years and am happy to say I made the right choice. The staff was very nice and professional. The office/treatment room was very clean and bright. Kacie was they Hygienist and she was very kind and explained everything and talked to me to alleviate any potential fears. Dr. Wee was very informative and explained my options so I could determine the priority of what needed to be done. No cavities, yippie! I will bring my hubby to see Dr. Wee! Today was my first visit. I met with Diana, the Hygienist. She is professional, polite and bubbly! Love her attitude! Dr. Wee was professional, explaining all my options and letting me know what treatment was needed first. I was impressed. The treatment is left for me to decide and a work up of costs is sent to me -- for my decision making! 5 stars for this first visit!
