The best part of my job is seeing patients gain confidence and self-esteem because they feel good about themselves. Dr. Allen Mau is a graduate of the University of the Pacific, with a Bachelor of Artsin biological sciences. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. In addition, Dr. Mau obtained specialty training in orthodontics at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where he earned his orthodontic certificate and Master of Science in 1991.
In order to maintain his license, Dr. Mau completes at least 50 hours of continuing education every year. Those hours include training on infection control, state laws, and healthcare provider courses in CPR and AED. In addition, Dr. Mau pursues courses on the latest techniques and materials to stay at the highest level of proficiency. Rather than viewcontinuing education as a state licensing requirement, Dr. Mau regards it asa valuable means forstaying at the top of his game for his patients.
Dr. Mau is originally from Fresnoand has lived in Stockton since 1992. He has a rescue cat named Miso: She is adorable andhas a purrrfect smile! When he has the time, Dr. Mau enjoys traveling, hiking, snow skiing, scuba diving, and playing golf. He has also been a pilot for more than30 years.

I have lived in Lodi my whole life and really enjoy being a long-time member of this community. My husband and I have a daughter, a son, and a dog named Milo. I like to watch my kids play sports, watch football (go 49ers!), read, watch movies with my family, cook, and bake.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

Together with his front and back office team, Candace & Ashley, Dr. Allen Mau provides a welcoming, and professional environment. Dr. Mau did my Invisalign treatment when it was a new option back in 2001. I was very pleased with my outcome, and stability of the results. After recently having some new restorative treatments by my General Dentist, I needed to return to Dr. Mau to have my Aligners modified. We actually had a fun visit while they entertained my weird sense of humor! I highly recommend Mau Orthodontics - great care, with smiles all around.

Everyone at Mau Orthodontics is great. They are super gentle with my 10 year old son and have made him comfortable every step of the way of getting braces. We are typically in and out of the office quickly, they do a really good job scheduling patients because I've never had to wait in the waiting room for more than a minute or two.

When I was younger, I had braces with Western Dental and I had a bad experience. This is my second time getting braces and Dr. Mau is something else! He's so nice, attentive, helpful and really wants the best for his patients. Other places are all about the money trying to get patients in and out; however, Dr. Mau takes the time to really help you as a patient. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND his office plus his staff is really nice. I don't have to wait a long time to get seen which is great! I'm truly honored for coming across his path.

We have been seeing Dr. Mau for about 6 months now and he is AMAZING! Very fairly priced, we never have to wait long as they bring us in right at our appointment time. The two ladies that work in the office, Ashley and Candice are so sweet and gentle. My son has autism and they make the environment so calm and easy for my son. We love this office!

I got referred here from my dentist and have had a great experience! It is super easy scheduling appointments. Dr. Mau and all his staff are very friendly and take the time to explain the process. I am currently doing my Invisalign treatment and I have no complaints at all. I've always wanted to get this done and it feels like this is a one time quality solution! Definitely recommend!
