Dr. Samantha Matus has worked in Berlin since 2014. She is a lifelong resident of Connecticut and now resides in Wallingford with her son, and cats Max and Carl. Dr. Matus received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA and continued her education at the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. Following graduation, she completed a two year General Practice residency at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. During her second year of residency, she was selected to be Chief Resident of the program.
Dr. Matus became interested in dentistry because it blends her talent of fine motor skills with the ability to help people achieve a better quality of life. Her professional affiliations include the American Dental Association (ADA), Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD). She takes great pride in getting to know each patient, understanding their needs, and helping to meet those needs by developing individualized treatment plants.
In her free time, Dr. Matus enjoys spending time with her son, visiting local museums and events, and painting. Dr. Matus is committed to continuing to provide the highest quality of care and enjoys seeing both new and established patients.
Dana has been working at the office since 2000. She grew up in New Britain and currently lives in Bristol with her cat, Diane. Dana is an avid gardener and crock pot aficionado, and is always up for talking gardening and recipes! She is here throughout the week and is glad to help with your billing and insurance needs.
Kathy has been a dental assistant working in our office since 2003. She received her training at the Dental Careers institute, and is happy to answer any questions about dental procedures. Kathy is fluent in Polish, and loves to cook and travel. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband, son, and their Chihuahua Nikko.
Anya has been a dental assistant since 1999. She has been with our office since 2014, and loves working with our team. Anya enjoys working with patients and does her best to make them feel comfortable and leave with a big smile. She currently lives in West Hartford with her husband and two daughters. In her free time, Anya enjoys cooking, traveling, and making glass mosaics.
Kristin received her training at the University of New Haven and has been with the practice since 1998. She does her best to make her patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their treatment. She is happy to answer any questions that patients may have about their dental health.
Stacey began her career as a dental hygienist in 2005 after graduating from Tunxis Community College. With over a decade involved in the field, she has come to consider her patients like family. Stacey currently lives in West Hartford with her husband, two children, and their dog, Niko. She loves discussing music and recipes and is a great source of information if you have questions or concerns about your dental health.
Rita graduated from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport and has been practicing since 1982. She lives in Bristol with her husband, and they have two children both married and living in CT. Her patients, who she has gotten to know over the years, are like a second family to Rita. She enjoys getting to know them and their families, exchanging stories, swapping recipes and many laughs. Her greatest reward is helping patients overcome their dental fears while she gives them the best treatment. In her spare time, Rita loves reading, doing crafts, scrapbooking, and baking.
Vicki has been in the dental field for over 25 years. She graduated from Tunxis Community College in 1998 with an associates degree in Dental Hygiene. She practiced as a dental assistant prior to going to hygiene school. She loves helping patients achieve their optimum dental health. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her husband, son and daughter. She also loves spending time with her furbabies: Marley, her Great Pyrenees; Maggie, her English Bulldog and her two cats Jojo and Jax.
Penny has been a practicing dental hygienist since 2008 after graduating from Tunxis Community College. She has worked here in our office since 2011. Penny is fluent in Greek, and resides here in Berlin with her husband and two daughters.
Laura began her career in dental hygiene in 1985 as a graduate of Tunxis Community College. Shes worked in numerous offices and joined ours in 1996. In 2009, she left to work as a school-based dental hygienist for Community Health Center where she worked at New Britain High School for 15 years. She is delighted to be back with us. In her free time, she enjoys being a household handyman, cooking, walking, and traveling. She and her husband Michael have two grown children and live in New Britain.
