Dr. Tan received her Bachelors degree with high honors in Biology with an emphasis in Molecular Cellular Biology from the University of California, Davis. She then graduated in 2007 from the University of California in San Francisco with her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. She is a dedicated, patient-focused dental professional who earned several awards and honors for Patient Care in General Dentistry and for the Management and Treatment of Periodontal Diseases. She also completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Mare Island. The residency program focused on advanced surgical and restorative training in dental implants, endodontics, periodontal surgeries, and extractions. Dr. Tan believes in providing comprehensive and exceptional care to all patients and enjoys practicing dentistry in a friendly environment alongside a professional staff.
Dr. Mattingly received his Bachelors degree from the University of California, Davis. He then graduated in 1997 with high honors from the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. Dr. Mattingly has been inducted into both local and national dental honorary academic societies for the pursuit of excellence in dentistry. He participates in community outreach and church activities throughout the year. In addition, Dr. Mattingly enjoys a healthy lifestyle of both body and mind through exercise, sports, and the fine arts. Dr. Mattingly is happily married and the proud father of two beautiful children.
I have been in the dental field since 1991, starting off as a dental assistant. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Mattingly as his assistant when he first came to work with the previous owner, Dr. Fastabend as an associate in 1997. I was cross-trained in both back and front office from the very start of my dental career, which makes my job easier knowing the intricacies of the doctor's needs and helping the office run seamlessly. As Office Manager, I aspire to continuously provide the utmost quality of care to our patients. I am very blessed to work with an amazing office and dedicated team that share the same work ethics.
I graduated from Diablo Valley College Dental Hygiene Program in 2013. I live in Concord with my husband, our dog (Luna) and cat (Theia). I love hiking, cooking, painting, gardening and being in nature.
I hail from New York City and began my dental career as a Dental Tech, while serving in the Navy Waves in 67. At the behest of the Navy dentists, I decided to apply for Dental Hygiene school, using my GI Bill. I worked in Oakland and Foster City for 10 & 12 years respectively, before arriving at this office in January of 86. On a personal note, I also taught aerobics for about 10 years, in the mid 80s - 90s, danced jazz in a chorus line and have flirted with ballroom dancing. I reside in Benicia and have a 12 year old, Shiba Inu named Suki, meaning love in Japanese.

Ive been practicing dental hygiene for over 20 years after graduating from Central Piedmont in Charlotte, North Carolina. I took time off to raise my kids and returned to work about 13 years ago. Ive had the pleasure of working Saturdays in this office since then. I enjoy introducing our patients to many resources available to better their oral health, including Water Piks, Invisalign and Implants. When Im not working, Im spending time with my 3 dogs, catching a movie, or sharing a glass of wine with friends.

Maria was born in Oakland and lived half of her young life there and the other half in Uruguay. She graduated from dental assisting school in 2002 and received her RDA license in 2005. Maria lives in Concord with her husband and their two daughters. Some of her hobbies are sewing and painting and enjoys volunteering at her daughter's school. Maria loves to be outdoors hiking, riding bikes and going to the beach with her family.
