Dr. Matthew Scarpitti was born in Jacksonville, FL and grew up in St. Augustine, FL. After a short time playing college football, Dr. Scarpitti earned his B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University. He worked as a personal trainer in Jacksonville, FL before moving to Miami, FL to pursue a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University.
Prior to starting dental school, he taught in the human anatomy lab at Barry University as an adjunct professor gaining detailed knowledge of head and neck structures. He moved to Omaha, NE to pursue his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Creighton University. While at Creighton, he provided care in every dental discipline while also rotating at the Omaha Correctional Center Ambulatory Dental Center, as well as One World Clinics and Charles Drew Health Centers, which provide care to the underprivileged within and around the Omaha areas. The unique clinical setting at Creighton gave Dr. Scarpitti the opportunity to gain exceptional experience in oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics. He performed numerous surgical extractions including full mouth extractions with the delivery of interim complete dentures, third molar extractions, and posterior crown lengthening surgery, all of which are normally referred to resident students in post-doctorate training.
Dr. Scarpitti was trained on the most up to date endodontics rotary instrumentation, as well as the more traditional techniques. He enjoys the cosmetic and restorative aspects of dentistry, as well as crown and bridge, implant dentistry, and complete and partial denture design and delivery. During his time in dental school, he gained an interest in forensic odontology, studying under Dr. Ken Hermsen, a forensic odontologist and endodontics professor at Creighton University. He was mentored by and continues to study with Dr. Christopher Stanoscheck, a faculty member at Creighton University in the prosthodontics department, which is a member of the prestigious Las Vegas Institute.
Dr. Scarpitti is a current member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy for Sports Dentistry, and the American Society of Forensic Odontology. He is the current Vice President of the Central Florida Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Scarpitti strives to stay current on all of the latest technology and procedures.
Dr. Scarpitti is an avid FSU fan. In his free time, he likes to fish, work out, and spend time with his wife, family, and friends. Dr. Scarpittis goal is to provide quality dental care for his patients in a comfortable, friendly, and compassionate manner.

I graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute in 2010 with my Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification, and have enjoyed working in the dental field ever since. I strive to provide excellent care and make all patients comfortable during their dental visits. I enjoy continually learning new techniques and I love working with the new equipment and technology that Dr. Scarpitti has implemented in his office.
I have enjoyed being a hygienist for many years in the Orlando area. Educating my patients on how to achieve and maintain good oral health is my top priority. I strive to stay on top of the latest advances for treating periodontal disease in order to provide our patients with the latest therapies.
With over 30 years of customer service experience, I strive to provide patientswith a warm,friendly and welcoming experience. In the role of front office administrator, I am passionate about helping patients understand their dental benefits.
Since graduating as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant from Fortis Institute in 2011, I have enjoyed working in all aspects of the dental field. My favorite part of my job is making sure that each patient feels comfortable and receives the best standard of care. I also enjoy continually learning ;and integrating new technology into our office to ensure we are providing the best, state-of-the-art treatment available. My goal is to create a friendly, comfortable environment where each patient feels like part of our family.
I have been married since 2020 to the best husband, and we have two great puppies. We all enjoy being on the water, fishing, canoeing and enjoying nature. We also love taking road trips and traveling to new places.

We respect and understand that many patients experience dental anxiety. At our office, we do everything we can to make sure that your experience is as enjoyable as possible. By communicating what you can expect during your treatment, we are often able to alleviate dental fear. We encourage you to bring headphones and music to listen to during your treatment and ask us about dental sedation options.

Dr. Scarpitti is very kind and detailed oriented. He will explain everything you need to know. You can ask as many questions as you need answered. My dental Hygienist, Brenda was the best!! She took extra time removing my stains and tartar build up, not to mention how she kept checking on me to see if I had any sensitivity. I even got to use one of her instruments to control the water pressure as she did her cleaning. I highly recommend Brenda, as well as Dr. Scarpitti's office. All of the girls are especially knowledgeable and kind. A little kindness goes a long way in today's world.

Dr. Scarpitti is the best dentist I have ever had! He is extremely friendly and treats you like a member of his family. He always takes time to explain the procedure, how long it will take and always asking if you are okay during the procedure. All of the staff are very friendly, they all make you feel welcome and want you to be comfortable at all times. I have been to many dentists throughout my lifetime, but Dr. Scarpitti is the best! I can't say enough kind words about him and the staff! The office is run very efficiently and is always spotless.

Rudest front desk. Asked her to repeat some things and she was just sarcastic and told me she "just said it". Someone needs to get their mouth cleaned out and have their attitude checked. If you want to work front desk at a dentist office you should be more willing to help people who call instead of acting sarcastic and rude. I called with the intention to make an appointment and ended up in an argument. You are the one who is in control when you answer the phone. If you cannot handle your job without getting offended by someone having a hard time making an appointment then get a different job. You just tried over talking me when I was trying to make an appointment. You do not act aggressive towards someone trying to book an appointment. I needed help and you became aggressive and offended by my frustrations to work with your schedule. You should learn to keep your mouth shut (ironically)...

I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, but the office staff from the front office to the dentist, all put me at ease. They are all friendly, helpful, and professionals. I like that they text me my bill and I can make payments online. I also like that they don't keep me waiting, as I have to fit the appointments in between caring for my baby and work.

I cannot say enough great things about this office and it's staff! As soon as you walk in, you can immediately tell everything enjoys working there and working with each other. The front office staff is always very helpful. When I first called in to inquire about an appointment, Rebecca stayed on the phone with me for 30 minutes while I asked all my questions. I've never received this much support from any other office I've been to. Rebecca was the initial reason I booked my first appointment with Dr. Scarpitti's office even though it was going to be a 35 minute drive for me. The waiting room is clean, bright and welcoming. As soon as I checked in for my appointment, I was called back within 2 minutes. I've been to the office 3 times now and have never had to wait more than a couple minutes before being called back. They are very efficient and respectful of your time. I had my initial cleaning with Nancy who was amazing! She was quick, gentle, and sweet. When I had to return for a filling Dr. Scarpitti was so professional, talked me through the whole thing, and the whole process was fast and painless (I didn't even get any Novocaine!). Then I chose to do the Kor Whitening treatment which I again, I was extremely happy with! You can tell Dr. Scarpitti cares about his patients and staff. He is very down to earth, easy to talk to, and gives you the time you need to ask questions. You never feel like you are a bother, which I have felt that way at other offices. This may be the first time in my life where I can actually say I will enjoy going to the dentist.

My hygienist Laura was great, especially because I had a lot of anxiety about the appointment. She made sure I was comfortable and explained everything to me. The assistant Tayler was knowledgeable and took the time to explain all the treatment options available to me. The experience was very comfortable. I will be going to Dr. Scarpittis office from now on.
