Matthew relocated to Nevada in 2007 after earning a B.S. in Construction Management from California State University, Chico. A few years later, Matthew completed an M.B.A.from the University of Nevada, Reno. Matthew and his wife, Dr. Tara Madden-Dent moved to Incline Village in 2009

In his first 5 years serving as Trustee, Matthew has fought for fiscal transparency, improved the capital reporting, increased communication, better planning and has been a voice for all folks in Crystal Bay and Incline Village. The community can entrust in him to represent their concerns, issues and ideas while upholding board policy, and the District accountable. He currently serves on several committees: Nevada League of Cities, Chair of the Audit Committee, Effluent Pipeline and Retention Pond Committee, and Utility Rates and Reserve Committee.
