Our practice is located in the Garden Home area of south west Portland. Every day we enjoy watching our patients walk right past our windows as they go about their daily lives. Being a part of this community is such a privilege.
Our philosophy in our office is to treat others as you would like to be treated. We would like to be treated by people who remember our name, and treat us with respect, while also providing quality care. Some members of our staff have been working side by side for nearly 20 years, and some of our patients have been coming to this office since the previous dentist owned the practice in the late seventies. We take great pride in our relationships with our patients.
Our staff utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to diagnose your oral health situation. We use digital x-ray technology to ensure proper bone health below the gum line and have equipment to free your mouth of plaque, and tartar build up.
We are currently contracted providers for Metlife as well as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon, and Delta Dental Premier. New this year we are also accepting CARE CREDIT. Don't have insurance? Our practice is happy to accept cash payments. We will provide you with a receipt.
Dr. Turay is a graduate of OHSU school of dentistry. He completed his undergrad at Oregon State University, despite being born and raised in Eugene. Along with his wife and two daughters, he lives in the Conestoga area of Beaverton. His hobbies are vast, including dragon boating, half- marathon running, gardening, and even baking. It's not unusual to bump into him around the Garden Home area running some errand or another. Many of our patients are local vendors we see every week.

I switched dentists to start seeing Dr. Turay last year and have now been in for a number of cleanings. I have been continually impressed with the quality of service, attention to detail, and comfortable atmosphere at each visit. Every person in the office has been professional and a pleasure to interact with. It looks like plenty of the other reviews mention Dr. Turay's own welcoming demeanor and quality of service (which I completely agree with), but I urge you to not overlook the welcoming demeanor and quality of service of every other person that works there as well.

I don't often go to the dentist, but now I might! Dr. Turay is so personable and an absolute delight! He's great at explaining things and making you feel comfortable. He makes you feel so welcome and makes sure to pronounce tricky names correctly--always appreciated. He really takes his time and cares for each and every patient, clearly not trying to rush you or anything. Everyone in the office is great, and I had a wonderful visit. <3

Although my optometric practice is in Salt Lake City, Utah, my wife and I also have a home here in Portland. It was during a brief stay that I experienced a chipped tooth. The soonest my Utah dentist (of 30 years) could see me was a month away. At the recommendation of our neighbors, Dr. Turay was happy to see me on short notice, providing temporary relief. I was so impressed with his professionalism, quiet confidence, attention to detail, and warm, congenial nature that I knew the services of my Utah dentist were no longer required. Today I received a temporary crown from Dr. Turay and will return in a few weeks to complete the procedure. Equally impressive was each and every member of his dental staff. His assistant, whose name escapes me (apologies, but maladroit and aging neurons explain my failing memory), seemed to anticipate Matthew's each and every need. Consummate professionals, they are. If you're looking for a perfectionist - who also happens to be kind and amiable - then Dr. Matthew C. Turay and his gracious staff are certain to satisfy your dental needs.

Best dentist I have ever had. Most of them are after your money and will tell you stories and lies to try and talk you into expensive treatments you don't even need just so they can make money. Not the case here! Dr. Turay and his staff really CARE about you and take the time to treat you and make you feel comfortable and welcome in their clinic. They are gentle and reasonably priced. I wish I could stay with him but unfortunately we moved to the east coast. I highly recommend this Dr!!!!!!
