Dr. Matthew Christopher attended the University of Michigan for undergraduate and Dental School. In 1999 he completed his residency at the Medical College of Ohio Hospitals in Toledo, which is now part of the University of Toledo Hospitals. This is where his passion and calling for treating children developed.
He has performed hundreds of hospital cases since that time and regularly treats 15-20 cases of children and mentally handicapped adults monthly. He starts treating children before their first birthday and firmly believes that early intervention along with education prevents any future worries.
His wife Alice and him have three children. They are involved in and support many communities and school projects to varying degrees. He was president of the Southwest District Dental Society of the Michigan Dental Association from 2003-2006. Alice and him enjoy many outdoor activities year-round such as fishing, camping, skiing, and hiking. His office staff and him thank you for selecting their office and look forward to treating your family like theirs.

Since they want to say we don't go there. We in fact do and this is our rating and opinion. My kids DO see dr Christopher.( Might wanna check that again, whoever is checking these reviews. My name is listed as parent on file.)

Incredible office! I highly recommend this office, especially for kids. My children love going here and the staff are so nice and friendly to my munchkins. Any time I have concerns they make sure to explain everything perfectly and put my nerves at ease.

I've been taking my daughter to Dr Christopher for a while now. The staff there are very kind and respectful. Dr Christopher is kind and has a sense of humor but is also serious. My daughter seems to like him very well.

In response to the owners statement. I was a patient at your UC location going all the way back to when Dr. Mortin's name was on the sign. My mom, sister along with ALL three of my children were also patients in your office for many years. My son was seen 1 time in your CW location shortly after opening. So there's either 20+ years of patient records mysteriously missing or you knowing responded with false a statement. Either way your arrogance is disappointing. It's sad when a good doctor takes advantage of the people who put their trust in them.

I have never had an issue taking my toddler here! They work with what he's comfortable with, and flexible when he's having a bad day. I'd recommend this office highly!

This office is EXTREMELY RUDE, and NOT PROFESSIONAL!! They do NOT communicate very well within their own office! They randomly take people OFF the schedule WITHOUT COMMUNICATION TO PATIENT, to give a spot to another family without even telling the first family that they are doing that. They literally treat children as a number and make treatment plans for MORE work to children then is actually needed, they don't even do proper exams or X-rays before saying what needs to happen for sure. They ARE not very reassuring that your child will be in good hands. Left their office in tears and uncomfortable and WILL NOT go back!! Dr. Christopher himself is also extremely rude and spent 2 seconds explaining to us that he basically wants to rip all my child's teeth out of his mouth at 1 years old under anesthesia! DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!!

Had an appointment to get my teeth cleaned this morning. I received a call 2 days ago asking about insurance. I have no insurance, no problem, you'll pay out of pocket, yes. I arrived today to be told they REFUSE clean my teeth without me paying MORE for x-rays, than it cost for the cleaning. I WOULD NOT recommend this dentist office. It's all about the money, not the patient!

I've only used Dr.Christophers office since I was 20 years old.(I crossed the bridge to 40 last year) Awesome & friendly staff. Would recommend both the Union City and Coldwater locations. Go check them out, you won't be disappointed!

The Doctor is a lier, and I would never take my kids to him for any kind of treatment whether it's cleaning or surgery

This was my new dentist office of choice as of a week ago- I was very pleased with how they treated my daughter and made her feel comfortable for her first cleaning, and how prompt they were with my exam I requested. On my second visit, yesterday, I had a wisdom tooth extracted- in the office, awake, on nitrous due to my crippling anxiety over anything that can cause me an uncomfortable amount of pain, and 4 shots in the gums for numbing.. needless to say regardless of how well the nitrous was working, I could feel way more then I was anticipating- since I got the opposite wisdom tooth pulled from the MCDC office, I was expecting maybe a little more discomfort than the last time but basically the same as my last pull... I was very wrong. Yet through it all- Dr. Nancy and her dental assistant Lizzie- made sure I felt nothing but comfort, support and understanding through the whole traumatic process for me. I can't thank them enough for caring so much and even WIPING my tears away while telling me how good I was handling everything- when I felt like I was going to start sobbing at any moment.. phenomenal team here at Dr. Christopher's office, I can't recommend them enough!

Doc Christopher's office is great and I would recommend them to anybody. We started our girls there when they were about one and now they are familiar and comfortable going to the dentist. We started going to Doctor Christopher's office about 10 years ago and are extremely happy! Tim Hawver
