Dr. Matt is a 2009 graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry. After spending a year in private practice in his home town of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dr. Matt dedicated three years of his career to working for the National Health Service Corp in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. As it is extremely important to help those in need, Dr. Matt traveled across the U.P. to provide top notch dentist care to patients who do not have access to care, or could not otherwise afford it. After fulfilling his commitment, Dr. Matt moved to the Madison area in 2013 to be closer to family, and has spent the last 5 years in private practice.
After spending the first part of his career in several different settings, he was able to gain experience as a dentist and figure out exactly how a caring, patient-centered practice should be run. Dr. Matt knows that in order to provide care of the highest caliber, he has to be dedicated to learning the latest procedures and techniques. He has traveled all across the country attending numerous continuing education courses covering all facets of dentistry. He is also an alum of the Clinical Mastery Series, a series of courses taught by several of the top dentists in the nation! The knowledge he has gained through his endeavors has allowed him to provide exceptional treatment to his patients.

I highly recommend Matt Hostetler and his staff for all your dental needs. Matt is very easy to understand and always willing to explain things at any level of detail you wish. I am no expert but it also appears that has invested in the most modern equipment to make sure you get high quality care.

Great experience with Dr. Matt. I chipped my tooth the weekend before Christmas, and he met me at his office, and took care of it, right before he was leaving town! He explained everything he was doing, as he was going through the procedure, so I knew what to expect. Very considerate, and gave good advice as to what the next steps might be if this happens again. Highly recommend.

Dr. Matt is an EXCELLENT dentist & skilled clinician. He's passionate, caring, and gentle! As a former oral surgery assistant of x14 years, I have worked with many dentists between Madison to Milwaukee--and he's by far the most skilled that I've met. He also doesn't do any unnecessary work, and has morals! I'm thankful I found Dr. Matt, as well as his hygienist Lois! I can also say I've never had my teeth & crowns cleaned this well. (Thank you to his front office manager for getting me in on short notice x2, as well!)

My 19-yr-old daughter has a permanent retainer after normal orthodontic treatments. During a normal cleaning, on a Monday, the hygentist cut the permanent wire. It poked and was inflamed. Dr. Hostetler was willing to fix it on Thursday! Accidents happen but this dentist was unwilling to make it right in a timely manner. We have found another dentist, and she is terrific.

I had the quickest fix for a cavity I've ever had! Emailed on Saturday about my pain and was in and out within an hour Monday morning to fix it. Spectacular! And I am not an easy dental patient to deal with. Haha.

Dr. Matt got me in for a series of appts for a root canal/crown very quickly. First cleaning with Lois was very pleasant followed by the work on my tooth with Matt. I have more to be done and will be returning. I live two hours away but they are worth the drive. Very professional and x-rays were really quick and easy.

I have been coming here for years to get my teeth cleaned. I have always had Daun as my dental hygienist and I am always excited to go see her anytime I have an appointment! Daun and Debbie always ask what new and exciting things happened in my personal life over the last 6 months. They truly have an interest in me which creates a very personable experience there. Dr. Matt Hostetler just recently purchased the practice and I am happy to see all the improvements he is putting into place. A basic example is the monitors that are in each room. X-rays of your teeth can be put on the monitor which makes it easier for me to see my teeth and allows me to ask questions of abnormalities that I see. As I was checking out Debbie was telling me about how Dr. Hostetler is constantly taking additional classes to make sure he is up to date on all the latest dentistry practices. He seems passionate about his work and I am excited to see his practice grow!

Dr. Matt did a great job on placing my crown. I appreciated that he was not pushy, but gave me options along with pros and cons. I get the feeling that he very honest with his patients. He was very careful and skilled in his work with no pain at all. I would be comfortable recommending him to anyone.

I love Dr. Matt and his staff. So pleasant and professional. In fact, he first saw my husband, on very short notice, for an emergency root canal, which he was able to perform, in office!!! That convinced me to change Dentists. I got the BEST cleaning and service, that I have ever had. I proceeded to book all five of my children, one who is an adult, everyone is pleased with their cleanings. The booking/billing process was a dream. Dawn is amazing! I highly recommend giving them a try!!!
