A Native Floridian, Dr. Robyn Matonti was born and raised in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale region on Floridas east coast, and shes proud to have earned both a Bachelor of Biology and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in the Sunshine State. Robyn and her husband, Anthony, relocated to Naples in 2017, drawn by the lush and lyrical rhythms of Southwest Florida living. They enjoy exploring the regions beaches, nature preserves, festivals, farmers markets, and art shows/galleries in the company of their son, Maverick, who was born in 2018. (Of note: Dr. Matontis Moorings office serves as a regularly updated mini-gallery, with works by Naples-based artists in constant rotation on the crisp white walls throughout the office lobby, lounge, and operatories.)
Locally, Dr. Matonti is actively involved in the philanthropic and networking communities of Naples and Southwest Florida. She proudly volunteers at the nonprofit Panira Healthcare Clinic, which helps provide free and low-cost services to uninsured, low-income, and unemployed Neapolitans. In fact, when renovating her office in 2018, Dr. Matonti donated dental chairs, equipment, and supplies to Panira to further bolster their dentistry capabilities. Dr. Matonti is also a member ofthe Young Professionalsof Naples, the American Business Womens Association local chapter, the American Dental Association, and the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Matonti and staff are terrific. Any anxieties I had disappeared with their professional approach and friendly repartee. My crown was finished with two short visits on the same day. No need for an impression and return days later. This is a model for good dentistry and attention to patient care.

I cannot believe we found a good dentist and super nice staff. There are many dental offices in North Naples but we took a chance and responded to her flyer with promotional rates even though her office is close to downtown Naples, which is a bit of a trek for us, We are pleased we did. She's just as knowledgeable and professional as our dentist on the east coast which we were with for many years.

Dr. Matonti rushed in to her office on her day off to examine my ailing tooth. I had the worst toothache I have experienced in my 79 years. She quickly diagnosed my need for a root canal, sent me to an endodontist just a few blocks away. I was pain free 90 minutes later.

I saw Dr. Matonti for a removal of a crown, filling, and placing of a new crown on my last molar. Obviously, given that her and her assistant are both women, their hands tend to be smaller than men - it's hard to reach a back molar, but this physical attribute makes it easier for doctor and patient and less painful. In addition, they didn't use a rubber tent or the big black block, to keep my mouth open, that are so unbearable if you have a small mouth. Dr. Matonti and Jennifer, her dental assistant, were very good, efficient, explained things as they went along, and were conscious of trying to limit the pain and discomfort naturally involved. They both were very caring. Using a scanner, they were able to make a crown that fits very well. My gums are naturally a bit sore as is my jaw, but a day later this is almost entirely gone. The practice seems to have the latest technology and they know how to use it. I thought it was quite expensive, but am unable to judge this as I've never had a crown done in Naples, FL. I suspect this is par for the course for an excellent dentist in Naples. I was thinking about today, and need to edit this post. I recently had to see 3 doctors for annular tears and a herniated disc in my back. Each referred me to the other. One did try to tell me what he thought was wrong, but did not want to answer any questions about a proposed invasive procedure. The other 2 did not help whatsoever. None of them spent more than 7 minutes with me. I spent $1,000, none of then answered my questions, they all were not interested, they were all somewhat condescending, and they all were on their way out of the door from the minute they stepped in. In addition, I had appts. with all of them and had to wait for each (one for over an hour). Dr. Matonti and Jennifer spent 1:50 minutes with me the first time (removing the crown and filling the tooth) and then about 45 more minutes to put the new crown in - all the while making sure I was okay and that it fit perfectly. I'm not left wandering aimlessly trying to figure out why my tooth hurts and trying to find a dentist to help. She fixed it - end of story!

Most people do not like to visit the dentist, but we must to stay healthy, so do yourself a BIG FAVOR and visit this practice you will ABSOLUTELY be happy you did. After using the same practice in Aventura, FL for almost 40 years, I am ESTATIC to have found this practice in Naples and not have to travel 2 hours for professional & HONEST dental care

I give Dr. Matonti and her staff 5++++++ stars. Everyone in her staff were very friendly, honest, not pushy and put me at ease while I was there. I moved from another state and was very nervous in finding a good dentist in FL as well. I definitely will be back. I highly recommend Matonti Dental!
