Our office, as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommends that your child visits the dentist by his/her 1st birthday or within 6 months after the first tooth appears, whichever comes first in order to prevent any problems.

As a parent, we ask your help in making the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. Your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and their staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions. It is best if you refrain from using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear, such as needle, shot, pull, drill or hurt. Our office makes a practice of using words that convey the same message, but are pleasant and non-frightening to the child.

Genuinely great people at this office. Dr. Kim Mathews is incredibly nice and compassionate. They all have great patience and pleasant personalities. My daughter was recently experiencing some bullying at school regarding a condition she has with her teeth (causes noticeable discoloring). Dr Kim and staff got her in NEXT DAY to do a treatment on her teeth and spent over an hour and a half with her! Awesome results.

Wonderful practice for your children. All 3 of my kids love going to the dentist... even the one with all the cavities due to strong antibiotics during infancy.

Her office staff is exceptional, the office itself is so fun and inviting to little ones, and Dr. Matthews is so kind. We've visited her for tooth accidents and cleanings and I cannot sing her praises enough!
