DentistDr. Kristin Mastros was raised locally in Newport News. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2006 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Tech. Following dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia. The residency focused on comprehensive dental care and treatment for medically compromised patients. In 2007, Dr. Mastros joined in practice with Dr. Thomas Witty, Jr, and then opened a new facility in 2013 where she practices today. Dr. Witty retired in 2014 with over 40 years of dental service. Dr. Mastros now enjoys solo practice, and has earned Fellowship within the Academy of General Dentistry. This award requires passing a rigorous examination and demonstrates a strong commitment to continuing education. Dr. Mastros is passionate about staying current in her knowledge of the best treatment options and technologies that dentistry has to offer. She also enjoys family time her husband, James and their three children.
Registered Dental HygienistChristy was raised locally in Newport News and has worked in this practice her entire career as a dental hygienist since 1977. Christy is a gentle, meticulous hygienist and a delight in the office. She is eager to teach and give pearls of advice to her patients about maintaining their oral health. I enjoy people and helping patients maintain their oral health. It is a pleasure working with caring professionals who tend to every patients needs. Outside of the office, Christy enjoys spending time with her family and her horses.
Clinical Dental Assistant and Patient Care CoordinatorKari joined the practice in 2017. She is originally from Rochester, New York. Kari received her assisting certificate from Monroe Boces Technical College in upstate New York and has over 10 years experience as a dental assistant. Kari always approaches her day with a positive attitude and knows just how to make you feel at home. She has two sons and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Great experience. Dr. Mastros is quick and thorough. They took X-rays, cleaned, examined and flossed all in under 30 minutes. Need a good dentist this is the place to go!

I was looking for a new dentist after being with a practice for 19 years. Change is hard but I choose this office because they took my insurance. I found my dentist for the next 19 years.

Called to get an appointment to have them take a look at my mouth cold air was nothing it only to find out I cracked my tooth and needed a crown I asked how much it was going to cost only to be told I don't know we will have to get with the insurance company and we will call and let you know two months go by and I called them and asked how much it was going to cost the gave me a quote for a little over 300 I said ok and made an appointment only to get a call a few day before my appointment they had to cancel so I made a new appointment this went on for some time then the day before my appointment I get a call they were canceling for cov-19 well about a week later my tooth broke leaving a hole was told that's not an emergency and would give me a call as soon as they open to fix it well I was getting worried and went to see a specialist to make sure it was not infected he said it was fine for now but needed to be fix I told him my dentist was closed only to find out they had been open for months now so I called them gave them my new insurance to get a new quote and was told we will give you a call wen we get something back nothing for two months so I called again they did not send off do a quote from my insurance the lady gave me a general quote like really you should have just stuck with the quote I had from the beginning because it's your fault it's still not fix now I'm having to start all the way over because I'm going to a new dentist. The office staff is very unprofessional

I really like everyone at Dr Mastros Office. Dr Mastros is super nice and very competent. Lisa at the front desk is a miracle worker and the hygienist is always fast and professional. I live about 40 mins away but gladly make the drive.
