Dr. W. Glenn Lewis is an accredited orthodontist, which means that he is a specialist in orthodontics. In order to become an orthodontic specialist, Dr. Lewis completed an advanced post-doctoral course at Emory University, accredited by the American Dental Association. This program at Emory required Dr. Lewis to undergo three years of specialty training in orthodontics in addition to his four years of General Dentistry education. Prior to attending Emory University Dental School, Dr. Lewis received his pre-doctoral education at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Dr. Lewis was born in Mobile, Alabama. After living 12 years in Europe (two years in Germany and 10 years in Spain), he moved to Atlanta, and has resided here ever since. Dr. Lewis speaks fluent Spanish, not only because he lived in Spain but also because his mother is from Colombia, South America. Dr. Lewis takes pride in a progressive office that stays abreast of the most modern orthodontic technology to keep providing you, our patient, the best in quality orthodontic care. Made of an almost invisible polyurethane plastic, Invisalign clear aligners are completely removable. This makes them an incredibly convenient choice for social occasions, for eating and especially for brushing and flossing teeth. The only downside, you must resist the temptation to not wear your aligners as advised. Let's explore some of the other advantages of the Invisalign system:
While there are still some situations where traditional braces would be the best option, the clear aligner technology has improved over the year and can now correct many malocclusions that once would have been too complicated for this form of treatment. A consult with your orthodontist will let you know if clear aligners will work for you.
Invisalign clear aligners work by applying controlled forces to the teeth to guide them into a better position, the same way traditional braces do. As opposed to being made of metal, they are made of a clear and flexible plastic.
Here's how it works: A specialized computer software is used to a create a plan for guiding your teeth into their perfect alignment. This will be broken down into stages and for each stage, the Invisalign company will manufacture a tray or aligner to go over your top teeth and your bottom teeth. Normally, during the first stage, you will wear your trays a minimum of 20 hours per day for two weeks. You will then change them for the next set of aligners in the series to continue to accomplish this gradual movement. You will continue through this process until your teeth are correctly aligned.
Over the years, Invisalign has added two features to make this a more appropriate treatment method for teenagers and to ensure teens have success! First, compliance indicators are built into the aligner material and will fade over time with wear. This allows a visual for parents, teens, and dentists to ensure that the trays are being worn for the amount of time prescribed. Second, special eruption tabs will hold the amount of space needed for molars that have not fully grown in at this time. If worn as prescribed, Invisalign can provide the same results as a more traditional metal brace.

I went here for my braces in 2017 , and brought my husband in today in 2022 and still absolutely love this office and the staff and dr so much ! I wouldn't go anywhere else!!! And they have multiple offices !(:

I brought my daughter to Dr Lewis after another local orthodontist did a very poor job. Dr Lewis assured us he could make her teeth look better and close the gaps in her alignment. I was skeptical but he did EXACTLY what he promised! Her teeth look wonderful now and her alignment is great!! I couldn't be happier with my decision to go there. In addition, His staff is kind, gentle and always courteous. They offer very affordable payment plans. Dr Lewis is man who gives back to the community. I HIGHLY recommend this practice.

My oldest has been out of her braces and living here gorgeous smile for 18 months now. I now have my twins in braces with Dr. Lewis. He has gone above and beyond for my family! Dr.lewis and all the girls here are so so amazing , so caring , they listen to your wants and concerns. They don't just care about your money they care about your feeling too . The girls make you feel like they've known you forever and dr.lewis is goofy and outgoing and is gentle so it's not so scary to visit the ortho office , me as a kid i had A bad experience in an office and he's def help me overcome my fear and my 15year old autistic brother has major anxiety but i brought Him in to see this office for a consultation and other stuff and this is the only place my brother has ever let work on him ! Nothing but amazing things to say about masterpiece smiles (i go To the kennesaw and Marietta location btw )

I saw Dr. Lewis this morning and had a great experience. I came in to have the remaining glue from my invisalign attachments removed from another practice where the dentist wasn't very skilled in the removal; so much so that I was worried about my actual teeth being damaged. Dr. Lewis took care of it with no problem and educated me more about my teeth and my other concerns. I should have come here for my treatment from the beginning!
