My profession means the world to me. Since I was very young, I wanted to help people, to be artistic, and to work with my hands. Dentistry is the profession that allows me to do these things: compassion for people, unique artistry, and the satisfaction of creating healthy, radiant smiles.
Being a dentist allows me to improve the life of each person who comes into my care. In some cases, I may be seeing them for a checkup and offering advice about changing their home oral hygiene processes. At other times I move the person out of pain, restore function, and ensure they are able to enjoy all that life offers. And sometimes I am making changes to a persons smile: boosting their self-esteem and the confidence with which they greet the world.
Masterpiece Dentistry at Copley has been part of the Boston community since the 1880s. We are one of the longest continually operating dental offices in the country, combining old-fashioned personal service with leading-edge care.
Our team members have many years of collective experience and are some of the best people in Boston. They are truly the best at patient care and professionalism, and each is warm, kind, and compassionate. They enjoy continuing education and like to apply what they learn to patient care and to share their knowledge with our patients.
My team members share my belief that the most rewarding part of our work is the relationships we foster with our patients. We value each as a person first and foremost and take time to learn who they are. We want everyone to know we care about their well-being and hold most dear the trust they place in us.
Each year I seek out continuing dental education opportunities, constantly learning about new technologies, methodologies, and materials. This steady learning ensures I am prepared to deliver the best care, using the most appropriate techniques, to my patients.
I am an active member of the Spear Study Club and have completed numerous hours of postgraduate education in Invisalign clear aligner therapy. In addition, I am a member of the American Dental Association and Massachusetts Dental Society. These organizations offer many educational opportunities, including conferences, lectures, seminars, and refereed journals.
I am the director of the folk dancing ministry of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in Boston. This is a volunteer position with a nonprofit organization. I have been director since 2003. I am also on the committee of the Alpha Omega Council in Boston, a nonprofit organization for the preservation of Hellenism in New England. Finally, I am a member of the New England Hellenic Medical and Dental Society.
I have lived in Squantum, a neighborhood of Quincy, my entire life. When Im not seeing patients or learning new dental techniques, I am most often found with my lovely wifeOurania and our daughter, Maria, who was born in June 2018.

I began my career in 1985. I have received several certifications, including the Dental Assisting National Board, Dental Radiology by the Commonwealth of MA, Infection Control, OSHA, Radiation, Health, and Safety, and CPR through the American Heart Association. I am licensed through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a member of the American Dental Assistants Association.
I started working with Dr. Pappas in 2003. We have a great connection while treating our patients with excellent dental care. Dr. Pappas is caring, kind, compassionate, and professional. Working with Karen and Cathy has been a gift. We make a great team because we respect one another, and as a team, we want the patient to have a great experience.
In my free time, I love working out! Im an avid runner and have participated in many marathons over the years including the Boston Marathon a few times and loved it! I also love the outdoors. I live near Horn Pond and enjoy running, walking, biking, or hiking around it. I also love taking pictures of this beautiful place. Since I grew up here, its really a sacred, treasured place for me. I also love the ocean!

I've tried a number of dental practices in the Copley area and Dr. Pappas' is by far the best. From the my first call to schedule a cleaning, evaluation of my teeth followed by some much needed crown work, the team has been caring, professional and supportive. Plus they all have a good sense of humor. Dr. Pappas always calls the day after a procedure to check on you. Highest standards, modern equipment and customer focused care. I have been getting cleanings at Masterpiece Dentistry for a few years now and have always had a very pleasant experience. The location is very convenient for those who live and/or work in the city. Dr. Pappas and his team are very friendly and knowledgeable, and I have been very satisfied with my cleanings. It is also very easy to schedule appointments. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dentist!

This dental practice is great. I actually travel from the South shore to go there . I am all about my smile. I was preferred years ago by my previous hygienist who is no longer there. Dr. Papas does great work, he did my bridge work, and many of my crowns. My teeth look fabulous! His newest hygienist Jackie is great as well, and the staff is warm and helpful. I highly recommend this dental practice you can't go wrong with them!

I traded a round of golf with three good friends for thirty minutes in the dentist chair to have a permanent crown put in. Boy am I glad I did. From the cordial, familiar greeting of Janet at the front desk, to the team of Jenny and Dr. Pappas pulling off the old crown and installing a brand, spanking new one, it was a day I'll never forget. The final product was a Masterpiece. Dr. Pappas and his team have been taking care of my wife and me and her extended family for over ten years. They are prompt, friendly and professional. Dr. Pappas takes a long term approach to our dental work. Rather then replacing old fillings all at once, he takes a more patient approach, aiming to replace them a year or so before they would be problematic. This has been successful. It has helpfully spread the cost out over many years.

The first time I walked into Masterpiece Dental, I knew something was different. The office manager knew me by name. They continually asked if I was comfortable. They even cracked jokes. And that was before I even got in the chair. From the level of professionalism to the quality of care, this team gets it. When my friends say they dread going to the dentist, I just smile and say, "That's because you don't go to the right dentist."

I have been going to Dr. Pappas for a little over 10 years now. Him and his team are the best! Dr. Pappas does amazing work and is kind, communicative, caring and informative. I couldn't imagine a better hygienist than Jackie - she is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and personable. Janet at the front desk is very welcoming and the text reminders from her are great. Every experience I have here is enjoyable, highly recommend!

Every time I come in, I'm seen quickly and the appointments are handled smoothly. Dr. Pappas and his staff run an elite practice with state of the art instruments, digitization, professionalism, and a good sense of humor too! I love the text appointment reminders. The staff is super accommodative to my schedule needs as they have squeezed me in countless times. I really appreciate that Dr. Pappas calls me personally to see how I'm doing after any procedure!
