A native of California, Dr. So studied at the University of California, Berkeley where she received her undergraduate degree in math in 2003. She graduated in 2012 from Indiana University School of Dentistry. While a dental student, Dr. So was a leader in starting a student-run clinic for those unable to pay for dental care. She continues as a faculty volunteer at this outreach clinic, today. She is a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society.
My interest in holistic dentistry stems from my Chinese background. Since I have personally experienced what eastern medicine has to offer my frame of reference has changed how I view alternative medicine. Alternative medicine combined with some traditional treatments can significantly improve the outcome for many patients. Applying this concept to dentistry has helped numerous patients. As more people discover the holistic approach to dentistry advances in this field may go far beyond what it is today.
Our approach to dentistry, here at Mass Ave Family Dentistry, is not only treating a toothache, it is treating the whole person. There are many connections between the oral cavity and our entire body system. I look forward to meeting you and your family and to spreading this knowledge and philosophy so that we can grow a healthier community and environment around all of us.

I love Katherine, but the office is leaves a lot to be desired. Late bills sent over, and they only care about the bottom line. Great place to go if you have 3 months to wait for an appointment, or if you like being billed for missed appointments....even though the appointment was scheduled less than 24 hours ago! Insult to injury when you have an emergency. The only good thing about the office are the Nimbus toothbrushes they buy.

Our entire family loves Mass Ave Family Dentistry. Dr. So is great with kids, teens, and adults. She was always very patient and reassuring with my sons when they were young. If she doesn't think she is the right person to help a child, she will refer them out rather than take on something she isn't skilled to handle as a family dentist. I appreciate the holistic, biological dentistry approach. I was seeking a fluoride free, mercury free office and Mass Ave Family Dentistry meets those requirements. Dr. So also honors parent choice in when to do x-rays. She educates and doesn't push or shame. I trust her judgment and appreciate that she doesn't get agitated like some other professionals if I have a reason to do something else. Amanda is a fabulous and gentle hygienist. We always enjoy the visits and she is terrific at what she does. Don't let the downtown location scare you off. They have dedicated parking spots just steps away so you don't have to solve the parking challenge on your own. I'm grateful Indianapolis has Dr. So and her team to provide us with progressive, holistic dental care locally. When I learned of the dangers of modern dentistry, I fully expected to have to travel to find safe care. I'm glad I was wrong and found Dr. So.

It took me a few dentists to get one I was happy with. Mass Ave is worth checking out. Everything is great, from the Dr, hygienist and office staff.

Everyone here is great! Probably the best experience I've ever had at the Dentist. I came in for a dental emergency and was seen right away. Dr. So and Amanda are a great team. I just moved to town and am so happy I found them. You will be in good hands here.

I was finally able to get the courage and get back to the dentist after many years. Had a wonderful first experience with Mass Ave Dentistry. I felt very relaxed and was explained everything they were doing and open to my questions and concerns. Looking forward to next cleaning.

Dr So and her team take such good care of my family! I am very impressed at their approach with my 2 year old. Each time we come they introduce her to a little more, all while being cautious not to scare her. She even let them floss today!

I tried two dentist before I found this one. I've never been great with the dentist but this one has always been so kind, patient, gentle and always so polite. Every staff member I've come in contact with there has always been wonderful and I've personally switched my insurance after my old insurance wouldn't accept them anymore just so I could keep going back. I look forward to cleanings and appointments now and I'm always relaxed knowing that I'll have a great experience.
