Dr. Suzanne Mason grew up spending summers in Omena, MI with her family and working at a local restaurant in Northport, MI. She received her B.S. in physiology, D.D.S. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, and a M.S. in Periodontics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Mason is a Michigan Board certified periodontist and a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.

During her masters training, she completed her thesis on the use of stem cells from alveolar bone marrow to regenerate large oral and craniofacial bone defects. Dr. Mason has publications in several high-impact periodontal journals and textbooks and has presented her research at various conferences throughout the US including the International Association of Dental Research (2013), Penn Periodontal Conference (2013), Midwest Society of Periodontology (2013), and the American Academy of Periodontology (2013).

She was elected as American Academy of Periodontology Student Ambassador and is a member of the Michigan Dental Association, the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Dental Research and the Midwest Society of Periodontology. Dr. Mason is a recipient of the Sigurd P. Ramfjord Award for Excellence (2013), 1st place recipient of the 2013 Midwest Society of Periodontology Research Forum, and finalist at the American Academy of Periodontology Orban Memorial Competition (2013). She also worked as a clinical instructor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry from 2010-2013. In her spare time, Dr. Mason enjoys skiing, tennis, wakeboarding and spending time with her family, friends and her dog Walter.

Dr. William Mason, graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1981 and completed his periodontal residency at the University of Michigan in 1984. He has placed over 4,000 dental implants since completing his implant training in 1989. Dr. Mason is a member of the Deans Faculty at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, teaching in the Graduate Periodontics Department. He has lectured numerous times at local dental society meetings and performs surgical procedures at Delta College for demonstrational instruction to the dental hygiene students. Dr. Mason developed and patented a dental instrument that makes dental anesthesia more comfortable for his patients. Dr. Mason has been in private practice in Saginaw since 1984 and will be joining his daughter part-time at Mason Periodontics and Dental Implants.
