In the almost 30 years Ive been a practicing dentist, Ive had the pleasure of meeting many incredible people. Each person has their own life stories and experiences, and I am honored when they share those with me. I learn from our conversations, about the world and about myself. I am a better person because of my patients and I thank them for that.

Ive studied, extensively, aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, treatment for TMJ-TMD, endodontics, and periodontics.
As a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, I learn from the leaders in the profession. The publications from these organizations keep me up-to-date on research and methods, too.
I grew up in Chicago, IL, and moved to the Atlantic Beach area about 20 years ago. When Im not working, youll often find me fishing in the local, shallow water creeks. I also enjoy bike rides, swimming, and listening to music.
I believe that one of the responsibilities of being a dentist is helping others. I regularly volunteer at a low-income clinic, providing a range of dental services to the less fortunate in our community. Everyone deserves a healthy smile, and Im resolved to help as many people as I can.

Dr. Mashod was AMAZING. We haven't had dental insurance for several years so there was definitely some anxiety and apprehension when we were all set up to come to the dentist for the first time in a while. Unlike most dental offices, Dr. Mashod preforms all of the x-rays, cleanings and charting himself, making me feel confident he will come to know my dental health very well. He's also incredibly gentle and explains everything he's doing so there's never any questions. I foresee us sticking with Dr. Mashod for a long, long time. Have never been to a dentist this great.

A true dentist in the traditional sense. I still go to him even though I moved to South Florida. Not a salesman like every dentists I tried to see in South Florida when I moved to South Florida 15 years ago. He will tell you like it is. Very professional and only do what is necessary now. He takes a wait and see approach on chips small cavities, need for crowns. He saved 3 of my teeth so far in past 15 years when other dentists in South Florida said I needed crowns. He knows latest techniques. He does his own cleanings now which I think is fantastic. I keep seeing him for my dental work. Every dentist in South Florida tried to upsell me "Plans of dental work/crowns" come to find out in asking Dr. Mashod to see me if I came up to Jacksonville, after his exam and cleaning he said I did not need all the work they were quoting in South Florida (Incidentally each South Florida dentist plan came up with different teeth allegedly needing work that were not all consistent in their findings)...... Dr. Mashod said we should monitor the teeth in general and examine them in 6 months. YES he will even do minor root canal work and does fantastic work on crowns..

Dr. Mashod is reliable and honest with your dental care. Too many corporate dentists following the same formula of conjuring up a problem that you don't have to lock you in as a patient for long term problems. Chances are your current dentist may be hanging you out to dry to drive up their bottom line. Dr. Mashod will give it to you straight. Highly recommend!!!

I love Dr. Mashod's office. My husband and I have been going there for about 3 years and now my kids see him as well, and my in-laws. He is so kind and thorough, my teeth always feel very clean at the end of every visit. The staff is always friendly and the office is very clean. Highly recommend Dr. Mashod!

Your go to dentist, always very professional and takes pride in making sure you're comfortable and that he's not making you feel uncomfortable. I've been coming to Dr Mashod for over 20 years, wouldn't want to even think of going to another dentist. Has even opened up after hours for emergency work on me and didn't break the bank for doing it! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great dentist .

I love this practice! The office staff are always so kind and helpful. Dr. Mashod is very kind and caring during my visits, and often stops his work to make sure I am doing ok. I'm so happy to have found this dentist! He does not use dental hygienists and instead does the cleanings himself. Because of this he is able to use tools for a cleaning only a Dr. can use, and my teeth always look fantastic after I visit him. The office is very quiet and private. I highly recommend Dr. Mashod and his staff.

I just moved here so I didn't find him off of a referral. So going into a new dentist can be scary not knowing what you're going to get. But I throughly enjoyed my visit. He was very nice and explained everything he was doing and why. Moving around a lot and have to just pick random dentists, I will say I picked really well this time around!
