Dr. Amelia Chim is one of the very select few that has comprehensive advanced training in infant and children sleep and airway functional dentistry and believes in continually adding to her dental education so she can offer the most current preventative orofacial growth and dental treatment available.
Dr. Amelia is also one of the few pediatric dentists who completed the most rigorous examinations and earned the highest distinction in the profession: Diplomate of American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. This puts her in the top 10% of all Pediatric Dentist in the nation and sets her apart from all the other Pediatric dentists in the country.
Dr. Amelia Chim had earned a masters degree for her published research in the children with Autism in addition to completing a year-long fellowship specializing in dentistry for patients with special needs.
As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Amelia Chim dedicates her career specifically to treat both healthy and medically compromised children and adolescence. Within this, she spends the majority of her time collaborating with local functional therapists to help infants and children feeding, speech, and other growth problem. Dr. Amelia is highly educated in all facets of physiologic dentistry and offer multiple treatment options to address oral myofunctional problems in children.
As a parent to four children, she can personally relate to parents concerns and believes that parents education play a very important role in their childrens oral health. In addition to being in her private practice, Dr. Amelia also spends her time teaching at the Pediatric Dentistry department of the University of Washington

Dr. Dongkook Lim, aka 'Dr. DK' to all our patients, obtainedhis dentistry degree and pediatric dentistry specialty from University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and University of Southern California (USC) respectively. In addition to dentistry, Dr. DK 's curious nature has landed him in different parts of the world, providing him with invaluableexperiences and newfound perspective.
Prior to settling down in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, he spent part of his childhood in South Korea and the rest in the Midwest, including Kansas, Iowa, and Indiana. He has travelled in all the continents except for Australia. Amongst it, he spent time volunteeringhis timeteaching and providing dental carein South America. Dr. DK is so thankful for his global experiences - not only for becoming fluent in Korean and conversational Spanish, but also for the humbling experiences that has allowed him to see matters in a different viewpoint.
During his pediatric specialty training in University of Southern California (Fight on!), Dr. DK worked at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where he gained expertise in dental trauma management anddental treatments for the medically compromised children. He was especially involved in the study for providing dental care to childrenwith Autism and focused his research on digital dental diagnosis.
With his passion for pediatric dentistryand thirst for knowledge,Dr. DK is committedtolifelong learningto ensure he delivers the most up-to-date and best care possible. He is especially interested in airway functional dentistry, laser frenectomy, and mixed dentition orthodontics.
During his free time, Dr. DK likes to spend time with his wifecooking, eating,and watching sports, though his very ownathletic abilities are questionable(haha!)His lighthearted and fun nature blends in well with our practice philosophy and easily makes him a favorite with our patients and family.

Exceptional care, quality, kindness and loves what she does!!! Has a stellar team! My kids had 4 cavities filled and she took such good care of them!!! Can't recommend them enough. Run from the adult dentist next door Cedar Family Dentistry is a ZERO star, unprofessional, poor quality and unethical!!!

This is a wonderful dentist office with great staff. I have been taking my son here for the past few years now and am always satisfied. My son with autism is almost 11 and he is always treated in a patient and caring manner. Dr. Chim is pleasant and quick, and they have an extra assistant to come in and help. I am happy to have found them. Thank you for serving us!

All staff here are great, personable and welcoming. We were referred due to a tongue tie and they gave me information on it along with educated me while I was there. I am extremely impressed by their professionalism and how much they truly care about their patients. I highly recommend!

Dr. Chim was recommended to me as a preferred provider for ties and I was seeking second opinions on my three children. She has been super knowledgeable and performed a tongue tie revision on my six year old whose previous providers had failed her. Everything went great and we are so glad we found her!

This dentist is lovely! My daughter, a 7-year-old, had surgery. They gave us many opportunities to ask questions. She was well taken care of and recovered quickly. They even called the afternoon of the surgery to make sure she was doing well. Thank you!

We came in for a consult for our infant child's lip and tongue tie. Dr Amelia and her staff was absolutely amazing. We were provided full details on laser treatment, outweighing the pros and cons on releasing now or later in life. We were so happy with our experience. She even texted to check on our little one later on! I have now booked my other two kiddos for a checkup!

My son had to go under general anesthesia for dental work here. They really made sure to take their time, inform us of everything that will be going on and prepping us for what it will look like after. The staff is so friendly, and did amazing with my son. I 10000% recommend Dr.DK here! He was friendly and explained all the possibilities for my daughter's staining. My daughter hates brushing her teeth at home but she was comfortable with Dr.DK! Just wow. Very happy I found them.

The whole staff is wonderful and are great with my kids. We see Dr. Amelia and she is so kind and patient. She is great at explaining things as she is doing them, not only making my kids feel comfortable but it's also very helpful as parents. She has done regular cleanings and also a tongue tie release when my daughter was a newborn. I would recommend her to anyone!
