Dr. Marvin Kaplan is a native son, born in Cincinnati, OH. He attained a BS in Biology from the University of Cincinnati, and went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry where he graduated with honors in 1977.
Dr. Kaplans professional honoraries include Beta Delta Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology Honorary Dental Fraternity, Phi Delta Prosthodontic Honorary Dental, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Dr. Kaplan is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Cincinnati Dental Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Kaplan and his wife enjoy traveling throughout the United States, photographing and painting unusual landscapes. Some examples are seen below and throughout our dental website. Please enjoy!
Angela earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from The Ohio State University in 1997. She has been part of Dr. Kaplans clinical staff since 2003. Angela strives to establish a partnership with every patient to help them achieve and maintain optimal oral health. She is married with 3 young children and loves all the fun she has with her family.
Diane graduated from The Ohio State University in 1968 with a dental hygiene degree. She worked part time with a childrens dental practice for 10 years, then added working on adults in general practices. She has worked for Dr. Kaplan for over 25 years. When not working in dental hygiene, Diane enjoys exercising, gardening, reading and cooking.
Connie graduated from Shawnee State University with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2004. She worked full time for a dental practice in Athens, OH for 12 years before moving to the Cincinnati area in 2016. She has worked part time for Dr. Kaplan since January of 2017. Connie is married with 3 children and 6 grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys boating, fishing, bike riding and loves animals. She loves spending time with her family and her cats.
Lisa graduated from the University of Cincinncati Raymond Walters School of Dental Hygiene in 1993 and has been a practicing dental hygienist ever since. She has worked in periodontal, pediatric and general dentistry practices, joining Dr. Kaplan in 2010. Lisa is married with 2 children. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Sandy graduated from the Institute of Medical and Dental Technology in 1982. She has worked with Dr. Kaplan for many years. Sandy has 4 children and one grandson. When not at work, she enjoys walking and taking care of her grandson.
Corinne is an Expanded Dental Assistant (EFDA). This means she is certified by the State of Ohio Dental Board to perform numerous chair side procedures including placement of dental restorations (fillings). She worked as a dental assistant for over 25 years, beginning her career in the United Kingdom with time spent in Saudi Arabia before settling in Cincinnati at Dr. Kaplans office.
Karen is a certified dental assistant. She graduated from Dental Assisting School Western Hills in 1988, and has worked in field since. She has worked with Dr. Kaplan since 2015 as his assistant, and works at the front desk as well.
Rebecca Graduated from Scarlet Oaks Dental Assisting program in 2003 and has been in the field since. She joined Dr. Kaplans team in 2013 as one of his dental assistants, and in 2014 took over the Front Desk Coordinator Position. Rebecca and her husband had their first child in 2015. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping and traveling.
