Martin Taylor Dentistry is a leading provider of preventive, restorative, cosmetic, emergency, and childrens dentistry services in Tucson, AZ. Established decades ago by Dr. Jeff Martin, it now operates as a partnership between Dr. Martin and his son-in-law Dr. Will Taylor, who are both highly skilled and experienced dentists.

Dr. Martin spent as much time as he could introducing himself to the dental community of Tucson. The young dentist also discovered that his dental supply providers were a great resource in connecting him with dentists ready to retire. He made such an excellent impression on one older dentist, Dr. Martin was offered the opportunity to buy his practice in 1981. It wasnt a huge practice, but it was a start. Eventually he was able to hire a hygienist a couple of days a week. According to Arizona state law, dentists couldnt advertise back then. A dental practice was built solely by word of mouth referrals based on the skill of the dentist, not the flashiness of their ad campaign.
Word of Dr. Martin continued to spread throughout Tucson. As new patients came to his office, Dr. Martin realized his little 1000 square foot office was bursting at the seams. So in 1999, he leased an additional 1000 square feet in the office complex and set out to totally update and refurbish the office. He knocked out a wall and rebuilt the whole office, adding four more chairs. As mentioned, it was during this timeDr. Martinhad also invested in a 14-chair clinic in Tucson. The experience he gained interviewing, hiring and supervising numerous dentists for the clinic, provided him the unique ability to see a stellar dentist when one crossed his path.
That young dentist happened to be his son-in-law,Dr. Will Taylor. Dr. Taylor joined the practice in 2008. Dr. Martin says that aside from the fact that Will Taylor married his daughter, Will was the brightest, most hard-working and talented young dentist he had ever seen. Both men have found their styles, skills and personalities to be a perfect blend which provides their patients with the very best care. They also really like each other which makes for a terrific work environment not only for themselves but also for their staff and patients. Over the years Drs. Martin and Taylor have continued to invest in the newest technology which allows them to offer more services than many other general dentists.
Many of the folks seen at Martin Taylor Dentistry are 2ndand 3rdgeneration patients of the practice! Some of the staff have been with Dr. Martin for 25 years. These facts point to a business with a firm foundation and a solid future. What did you want to be when you were growing up? An astronaut? A ballerina? A fireman? Amazingly, by about 3rd or 4th grade, Dr. Jeff Martin knew he wanted to be a dentist. His interest was sparked largely because he really liked his own childhood dentist, Dr. Rooney.
Dr. Martin describes his childhood as a happy one. Although his biological father left when he was very young, Jeffs mom remarried a wonderful man with two daughters of his own. Roger Martin adopted Jeff and his sister when Jeff was about 6 years old, and is the man Jeff Martin calls Dad. Some of his favorite memories are the car trips his family, including the two family dogs, took all over the United States.
Growing up, Jeff was a good student. Education was a strongly held value in his family. Jeff also believes the small class sizes in his grammar school practically provided him with a private education.
Jeff Martin was also an avid athlete. Because there was no high school in Inspiration, he had to attend high school in Miami, AZ where he played baseball, was the football quarterback, and ran track. He was also an Eagle Scout and he loved to hike and camp.
After high school Dr. Martin attended the University of Arizona where he obtained his bachelors degree in biology and met his lovely wife, Kathy. He then attended dental school at Baylor University in Texas, the same school his mentor Dr. Rooney had attended. While in dental school, Dr. Martin also moonlighted as a phlebotomist.
After completing school, Jeff and Kathy Martin returned to Tucson where Dr. Martinbegan his practice in 1978.They have two daughters, Kasey and Holly. Their daughters are now married and Jeff and Kathy have 5 grandchildren. All of their children and grandchildren live nearby, so the Martins get to spend a lot of time with their family which is so important to them. In fact, their daughter Kasey marriedWill Taylor, who is now Dr. Martins partner!
