Dr. Scott Martin is a Wyckoff native, and opened Martin Orthodontics in October 1999. His mission is to provide exceptional orthodontic care to children and adults, and to make sure every patient has a fun and memorable experience while they build a smile to last a lifetime.
Dr. Martin studied chemistry as an undergraduate then continued his education in dental medicine and finished at the top of his class at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey in 1996. Before opening his practice, he completed a three year orthodontic residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY.
In addition to running Martin Orthodontics, Dr. Martin is also on staff at St. Josephs Childrens Hospital in Paterson as part of the Craniofacial team, dealing with children who have head and neck anomalies such as cleft lips and palates.

Dr.Martin is extremely patient and nice to my son with special needs. I've never seen such an amazing doctor like him. Other staff members are also very kind. We are always grateful for their professional work.

We love Dr. Martin and his entire staff! Both my girls are patients there and really like each staff member and Dr. Martin of course! Highly recommend this office!

Dr. Martin is absolutely the best orthodontist you could find. Myself and all my siblings saw him from middle school - high school and we all finished our treatments with awesome smiles that we couldn't be happier with! He's incredibly knowledgeable about his work and is able to troubleshoot and fix any issues that arise. He's also very personable and fun, and makes all of his patients feel like family/friends. I went back for a quick fix yesterday of my permanent retainer, and he generously made time for me to come in right away and treated me with the same friendliness and kindness as if it hadn't been 7-8 years since my last appointment! As someone who isn't comfortable with doctors, I can assure you that Dr. Martin is truly a stand-up guy and a doctor that won't disappoint.

I have been going to Dr. Martin for close to 15 years now and he is truly one of a kind! He is incredibly sweet, makes honest recommendations and him and his staff have impeccable bedside manner. In fact, I have since moved away from the Wyckoff area and will still make the trip to see Dr. Martin because I have no interest in seeing another ortho. Highly recommend him and I hope he never retires!

My daughter (currently 16) is highly sensitive...after seeking out various orthodontists and a previous (unsuccessful) attempt to get braces on her which she needed, Dr. Martin was recommended because of how amazing and patient he is with kids. Dr. Martin was incredible with my daughter...got her braces on in stages, very patient and kind. Her braces are now off and in the midst of follow up with her retainer. Thank you Dr. Martin (and his wonderful staff)!!!

The first thing I want to say dr. Martin is very excellent. He has a awesome personality. All 4 of my kids got braces from him. I never had a problem with him or with his staff. I think it's staff is very friendly and polite.. only one bad thing the parking is a little rough. Sometimes it's hard to find a parking space. I like the staff and Doctor Morton if you have a hard time paying for the braces. They will work out a payment plan for you. It's 15 years I know Dr Martin. I never ever saw him mad. He is always happy and his bedside manners or excellent.. and he cares a lot about his patients. So if your kids are not wearing the retainers he would tell them. I will recommend after Martin to anybody that's why I gave him a 5 star rating. All of my four kids have perfect teeth now.

The procedure to fix my over-bite was estimated to be a two year fix; it ended up taking 6. He had me get a tooth removed so it would cause the next one to grow in; I had a hole in my mouth for over a year. He also gets distracted by the TV in the room. I honestly dont think he knows what he's doing. His assistant consistantly scratches patients' gums when tying the braces. I'd get your braces somewhere else.

I was referred to Dr. Martin by another amazing professional for both my children. The moment I met Dr. Martin I was so impress by his mannerism and his sincere approach in explaining to a 9 year old how the retainer will help him. He took away my son's fear and made him feel like a ROCK STAR! His staff is extremely pleasant and professional and if every healthcare provider would take a page from Martin Orthodontics playbook there would be so many happy parents walking around New Jersey.
