Dr. Martin J. Matovich (Marty) grew up in Myrtle Creek, Oregon and received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Southern Oregon University. He went on to graduate first in his class from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in 1995. His commitment to professional growth has been confirmed by continuous participation innumerous dental study clubs and continuing education programs over the past two decades including becoming a level IV OBI (Orognathic Bioesthetics International, Inc.) graduate. Bioesthetic dentistry is an approach that involves a comprehensive evaluation of the entire chewing systemthat regards the teeth, jaw joints, bones, nerves, muscles, lips, tongue, mouth and the face as a collective system rather than individual parts. Equilibrium between all these oral structures allows the creation of a natural, youthful looking smile and promotes the maintenance of a healthy chewing system that will provide a lifetime of optimal comfort and function. He considers it an honor to be trusted as his patient's dentist, and is appreciative of being able to have a positive impact on their quality of life. Dr. Jason Ahn is a Camas, WA native who served four honorable years in the United States Air Force. He graduated with a BS in Biochemistry from Pacific Union College located in the beautiful hills of Napa Valley. Dr. Ahn then moved to Southern California and graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Afterwards, he completed a one-year AEGD residency in Washington, D.C., where he learned to perform advanced specialty treatments including endodontic, orthodontic, prosthodontic, and periodontics procedures. Dr. Ahn constantly tries to remain at the forefront of dental technology: he enjoys learning new skills involving digital techniques and keeping up to date on dental research.

Dr. Matovich is an above average dentist, less morally corrupted than most. I don't think there's harm getting routine maintenance here. The hygienists are very nice and pretty thorough. My former dentist was a Panky Institute dentist, better cleanings and orthodontics. I got tired of the drive and switched to this dentist. After a few years my smile is ruined. I received a consultation from an orthontist and apparently teeth shift for a variety of reasons and there isn't scientific explanation one way or the other as of yet. The only way to prevent tooth movement is to wear a retainer everyday in perpetuity. I decided against adult braces as I would have had to redo fillings, and every time one redoes a filling the dentist removes more of the underlying original tooth. I plan on never having implants, unless in the case of a car accident or something similar. The record on Google should be set straight. Dentists probably score high on the psycopathy scale, like surgeons, except for Dr. Pete. My pediatric dentist helped train Dr. Kent Moberly, my former dentist. Dr Moberly was excellent, with in-depth knowledge about alignment and orthodontics. Dr Pete was indeed the best dentist I have encountered in my lifetime. Dr Pete saved an orphan's rotted teeth from being put to bed with milk in an orphanage in Seoul, S Korea. He was the head of a department at UW, Seattle, or ran the dental school there for awhile. After several 5-6 hour surgeries he helped my adult teeth grow in perfectly aligned and I didn't need braces. While the typical dentist is subpar, overcharges and rates high on the psycopathy scale, Dr Pete was an angel. He was a highly gifted dentist. I was a young kid with a mouth full of metal and he made me feel beautiful and special. He would have hand decorated chest coverings with my name spelled very creatively on it done unique and different ways. I disagree with how the whole dental industry is structured, and unfortunately don't see any simple solution to how everyone can afford and access the actual best dental and orthodontic care available. It is truly a catch-22 and conundrum in our society. The best dental care is in our country, so in that respect we are lucky.

I look forward to my visits to this office. All of the staff are friendly and greet you with a smile. Brianna does a great job cleaning my teeth and giving me suggestions for problem areas. Dr. Matovich has a great sense of humor and does wonderful work. Highly recommend this group!

I'm in my 20s and have been going here since I was about 5 years old. I can honestly say, I have never had a negative experience. They have always taken such great care of me to the extent that I actually enjoy going to the dentist! :)

I needed someone who was willing to listen to my concerns and help me with the pain in every way they could. That is what Dr. Matovich does for me. I have pain even at my cleanings and the staff has helped find items that will assist in releasing the pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Matovich and his staff. Have always been treated kindly and professionally.

Dr. Matovich is a slightly above average dentist, probably less morally corrupted than most. I don't think there's harm getting routine maintenance here. The hygienists are very nice and pretty thorough. My former dentist was a Panky Institute dentist, better cleanings and orthodontics. I got tired of the drive to Seattle and switched to this dentist. A few years later my smile is ruined. Only affecting factor is bruxism and the mouth guard I used every night. I used to use Reach cleanpaste floss and give it out to my friends, best floss ever. I use coco floss now, don't bite into foods, use a knife and fork, use a straw, and don't drink soda, rarely eat sweets. I am disappointed and might need adult braces now when before my teeth alignment was perfect. The record on Google should be set straight. I guess the best dentists in large cities are better than the relative best dentist in a small or medium sized town. Orthodontics will likely not be covered by our insurance. We have two small children at home, definitely an unforeseen expense. For transplants to this area, I recommend making the drive or flight if you indeed have an excellent dentist, unless it's cheaper and more inconvenient than adult braces.
