In 2016 Dr. Kell was the first to receive the University of Iowa College of Dentistrys Leadership Award and previously was honored as the Dental Alumna of the Year Award in 2012. In 2010-12 she chaired the University of Iowa Alumni Association after serving as a member for six years. She is a strong supporter of the UI and the College of Dentistry as a member of the U of Is Presidents Club, several UI College of Dentistry Campaign committees, and serving on the Dental Alumni Association Board.
Dr. Kell currently serves as the FDI World Dental Federation President-Elect and is a member of their Executive Committee. . She previously was an FDI Council member as the North American Liaison and is the past Chair of the FDIs Education Committee also serving on the FDI Science Committee and FDI Strategic Planning sessions. From 2004-2008 she was on the Board of Trustees for the American Dental Association after serving on numerous Councils and Committees.
Dr. Kell is a member of the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Academy of Dentistry International, American Association of Health Care Executives and Delta Mu Delta Honorary Society, and a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Kell is a Past-President of the Iowa Dental Association and the Davenport Dental Association. She was the President of the American Association of Women Dentists and national President in 1988-89. She received their AAWD Lucy Hobbs Taylor Woman Dentist of the Year Award in 2007.

I have a very intense phobia about the dentist and dentist office. Leigh and Dr. Martin made my experience very calming and were compassionate toward my anxiety. I even got to see and pet Archie the therapy dog. Everyone in the office was kind and accommodating. I am so happy I was referred to such an incredible place. I look forward for many more years to come! I highly recommend Dr.Martin and her staff..

My dental account was transferred to Martin Family after my previous dentist of seventeen years decided to retire and close his practice. I was apprehensive about being transferred to Martin Family at the beginning worried that I may not get the same level of professional service. Martin Family proved to me that they are just as good as well with extended services better than my previous dentist. I am confident that my worries were meaningless and without merit.

Where to even start? As someone who has not had the best of dentists... this office couldn't be any more different than others. From the first time I went there, to the continued visits, everyone is super good not only at what they do, but are genuinely good people. Unlike the past where I dreaded going to the dentist, I actually look forward to it. Doc is awesome and great. She genuinely remembers the details of you and your dental history. You are not just a number at this office. Also... Leigh... she's extraordinary too. In short, if your past dentist gave you dentist phobia, visit these ladies' office. They are the best ones anyone can ask for.
