After 25 years of practicing, I still wake excited about the day before me. Each patient and their specific treatment plan, every visit tailored to the individuals needs, and most of all each persons unique personality, is fascinating. I appreciate the variety of my days and the laughter that fills them.
I love to see the excitement in patients when they notice the changes in their teeth. It is rewarding when a parent tells me their child is more social, happy, and confident with their improved smile. And it is equally as fulfilling to have an adult patient who is thrilled with their beautiful new smile and proud to show it off!
I was initially drawn to orthodontics as the blending of science and beauty, and the flexibility of treatment modalities to achieve perfect smiles. What I had not anticipated, though, was how much I would enjoy the strong connections that naturally evolve during the process.
I like getting to know my patients personally, and love all they share with me. It is a joy to hear of their activities and adventures, their latest interests and dreams and to know they will carry their finished smile with them, confidently and joyously, wherever they choose to go.
The field of orthodontics is continuously changing, especially in clear aligner therapy and the integration of digital technology. It is critical for me to stay at the forefront of these changes in order to provide patients with the most advanced care available.
The organizations allow me to learn from leading researchers and practitioners in the specialty. They also offer a range of peer-reviewed journals and other publications that keep me up to date on the latest developments.
I grew up in Queens and have considered Orange County my home for many years. Its been the perfect place to raise my three daughters with my husband. I also have two rescue dogs, Pasky, our mini Basset Hound, and Tiki, our Chihuahua. Guess who rules the house? (Hint, its the tiny one!)
Its rare that I have much spare time, but when I do, I enjoy trying to grow edible veggies in my garden and then eating or cooking what Ive grown. It has been a life saver:when theresno food in the fridge, the garden has provided meals for my family numerous times. I also like to travel with my family. The kids are great travelers and we love exploring new countries and cultures. I love languages and am fluent in English, Spanish, and Korean.

I assist Dr. Chun in the clinic:helping with all phases of patient care and taking X-rays, scans, and impressions. I started working in the field in 1979, am a certified dental assistant, and found my professional home with Dr. Chun and my teammates in 2010. Its a great feeling to be part of a team thats committed to excellentpersonal care.
Outside of work, I love the beach, hiking, the gym, and vacations. I have two wonderful children: my son is a police officer in Destin, Florida, and my daughter is a nurse at Orange Regional Medical Center. I have two beautiful grandchildren, Ryleigh and Jackson.
I feel lucky to work at the front desk, becauseI get to meet everyone and see each person change during treatment. Its incredible to watch people become happier and more outgoing as they grow to love their smile!
I welcome and check patients in, update paperwork, schedule visits, and handle various customer service tasks. I have worked in the dental field since 2006 and was happy to join Dr. Chun in 2015. This is a professional, easygoing office, where were always laughing with our patients and each other.
I work in the clinic, and assistDr. Chun with a range of procedures while supporting our patient. I have worked in the field since 1977, joined the practice in 2017, and am a certified dental assistant, registered dental assistant, and licensed orthodontic assistant. I love working in a fun, positive atmosphere with a doctor and team that help people love their smiles.
I have been working in the dental field for 25 years and I love my job. I have been with Dr. Chun's team for 10 years. I value my position as I am the first person patients see in the office or talks to when they call. I love people and like to know every single face in the practice.

Was told she would move forward with my child's braces after saying he needed another scan and X-ray that wasn't covered. Paid the $322 out of pocket just for her to say she isn't going to do the braces bcz he needs jaw surgery for his underbite and said his jaw got worse. She already knew he had an underbite from the time she saw him when he was in 7th grade. He's now in 11th. His underbite getting worst is Not true. My son has reached his max growth and according to his pediatrician AND a specialist, his jaw structure is not changing and it's been the same. His pediatrician, specialist, oral surgeon, 2 dentist and 2 other orthodontists reviewed all of his scans and X-rays and CT and all said it has not drastically changed and that although jaw surgery is the best fix, braces are an option if he doesn't want the surgery and braces will correct the crowding teeth issue and it will actually shift his underbite back some. My son has also expressed that he does not want to go through surgeons breaking his jaw for something that does not nor never has affected his speech and health. We Told Dr Chun his sister and 2 other relatives had same exact underbite when they were his age and all had braces with success.. no jaw surgery! So now I have wasted another $322 for another non covered scan and she still didn't proceed with braces as she said she would after his extraction and bone graph procedure was done and healed. Got a 2nd and 3rd consultation by 2 separate orthodontists and both said his teeth could definitely benefit some from braces. My son now has braces! No problems with his bottom teeth hitting the top teeth's brackets as Dr Chun said would happen. So far so good. Oh, and didn't even have to pay for the scan and X-ray current orthodontist took. It was complimentary. I should have went with my gut instinct before I gave the receptionist at Dr Chun's office my card! But that's what I get for trusting she would proceed as stated

My son and I saw Dr. Chun for the first time yesterday. We both knew right away that she's the one. We had seen another orthodontist, where it was crowded, rushed, and expensive. Dr. Chun's office is none of those things! The atmosphere is calm and personal (while super friendly,) and she spent time explaining things to us - she even knew more about our insurance plan than we do. Her pricing is HALF of the other orthodontist. She even gave us a loan company recommendation to use for financing. Super impressed by our first visit.

My grandson and I were very impressed with Dr. Chun and her staff. They were friendly and professional. I was especially impressed with the thorough exam given to Damarius and am glad that his dentist referred us to Dr. Chun.

Dr. Chun is the greatest! My grandson is always happy to go to his appointments. The office staff and Dr. Chun are always pleasant, making patients and family feel at ease and welcome. She is very knowledgeable and explains all procedures clearly. She is always available to handle any questions or problems, no matter when they occur, putting them to rest before they become big problems. Dr. Chun is very professional, knowledgeable , and a true asset to our community and her field. Thank you Dr. Chun, you are the best!

Dr. Chun is a very compassionate woman. highly experienced. She was thorough in her evaluation and recommendations. My son only had an initial evaluation with her but she was very sweet. She did not try to sell us unnecessary products. I will definitely recommend Dr. Martha Chun.

Dr.Chun was an absolute pleasure. I really enjoyed her personality and appreciated her honesty. Both my boys commented on how they enjoyed their visit and felt really comfortable with her when we left. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an orthodontist .

I only give four stars because I haven't actually had any kind of work done yet. That being said, Dr. Chun was a very professional and personable orthodontist. She thoroughly explained her process and helped me with all of my questions. Afterwords I got a follow up like I was promised. ***COVID clean everything is sparkling
