Dr. Wendy grew up in Fairport where she knew she wanted to be a dentist since Girl Scouts. She received her BS degree in biology from Syracuse University with a minor in psychology. She then graduated from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she concurrently conducted research for the Department of Oral Pathology. Her post-graduate training was completed at the University of Rochester General Practice Residency Program at Strong Memorial Hospital. Above and beyond the educational requirements in dentistry, Dr. Wendy has been certified in Sedation Dentistry since 2009 and has had additional training in Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Implant restorations, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Adult Orthodontics, and Dental Traumatology. Wendy previously worked as one of the team dentists for the Buffalo Sabres and Rochester Amerks sports organization. She was part of a dental team that was responsible for treating onsite injuries and fabrication of custom mouthguards for the team.
Dr. Wendy lives in Victor with her husband Shawn and sons Paxton and Dane. Over the years since the office opened in 2014, she has really enjoyed being the only dentist in Victor who lives in Victor. This gives her a huge opportunity to run into patients somewhere besides a dental setting, like at school or at Wegmans! Her personal cell phone is always available to patients when the office isnt open to help out in any dental emergency situation. Dr. Wendy does like to enjoy golf, but isnt any good at it anymore because she is so busy. Her favorite thing to do is save up vacation time and spend it traveling somewhere she has never been to before.
In her spare time, she likes to ride bikes, travel and spend time with her family. She has two grown daughters whom we have had the privilege as an office to watch grow up and start lives of their own. Marshall Dental Care is very fortunate to have Kathy as part of the team.
Hilarie has been a dental assistant since 2011 and joined Dr. Wendys team in 2017. Hilarie also assists with sedation, oral surgery, pediatrics, and cosmetic dentistry, and is constantly adding new techniques to all of the procedures. Hilarie is advanced CPR/AED certified as well. Hilarie drives in from Marion every day to see patients and is cross-trained at the front desk for when they are in need of extra help.
Ashley has been a registered dental hygienist since 2012 when she graduated from Erie Community College with her AAS degree in dental hygiene. She has also completed her certification to give local anesthesia and nitrous oxide to our patients. Ashley joined the Marshall Dental Care team this past summer in 2020 which was a breath of fresh air during the pandemic! She has been a positive role model for the office and transitioned in with ease - most likely due to her caring personality! Ashley is also advance CPR/AED trained.
Ashley lives in Penfield with her husband Mike, two young children and her two dogs. When she isnt chasing around the little ones, she enjoys doing projects around the house and get togethers with friends and family.
Jennifer is a registered dental hygienist who has brought dental experience to our office since 2004. She is a graduate of Monroe Community College with her AAS degree in Dental Hygiene and has worked with our office since 2009. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Proctor and Gamble Award in recognition of her knowledge in the Preventive Aspects of Dental Disease. Jennifer is also advanced CPR/AED certified, dental anesthesia certified and nitrous oxide certified (laughing gas) in New York State. Jen and Dr. Wendys friendship started all the way back when they were classmates in 1st grade at Brooks Hill Elementary School in Fairport, NY! Their families have been great friends ever since!
Jennifer lives in Victor with her husband Rick and their 2 dogs. She has 2 grown sons, Dale and Connor. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, boating, skiing and spending time with family and friends.
Brandy came to our office originally part time in 2016 with over 6 years of experience. We like to think that great minds think alike, and Brandy joined us at a full-time position in September 2018 to help accommodate our growing practice. Brandy graduated from Monroe Community College with distinction, where she earned her AAS degree in Dental Hygiene and Liberal Arts. In 2014 she completed certification to also give local anesthesia and nitrous oxide to our patients. She is also advanced CPR/AED trained.
Outside the office, she enjoys running, working out, running some more and spending time with her husband Taylor and dog Smitty. Brandy and Taylor welcomed their first baby girl in the fall of 2019 and she is looking forward to being a mom. Brandys forte is working with children in the office, so this should come quite easily to her!
