My profession for me is about helping children in the best possible way I can. I love to be able to get a child out of pain, help create a beautiful smile, and restore proper oral function for a child. The most rewarding part is the proud smile on a childs face when we are done!
I was born and raised in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh. Upon graduation from high school, I attended the University of Pittsburgh where I earned my Bachelors degree (summa cum laude) in Neuroscience. I continued my education at the University of Pittsburghs School of Dental Medicine, and graduated with honors. Soon after, I completed my residency in pediatric dentistry at the Childrens National Medical Center located in Washington, DC.
My husband David is an electrical engineer in robotics. We have been blessed with four children: Zack, Dominic, Rose, and Anthony. I love animals and have two dogs, Lucy and Josie, our cat Winnie, and a canary named Rita. Its a bit of a zoo but I wouldnt have it any other way!
When Im not in the office, I love spending time outdoors. In the summer I hike and bike and in winter I enjoy skiing. My other interests include crocheting, cooking and baking, and trying new restaurants. Of course, quality family time is the most important thing to me.
Helping others in needs has been a lifelong passion of mine. I involve myself in community programs and non-profit organizations to provide this care in a non-professional setting with St. Kilian Parish Church, St. Jude, World Vision, Lighthouse Foundation, Catholic Charities, and Dynamic Catholic.

Dr. David Pechersky was born and raised in Monroeville. After graduating from Gateway High School, he went on to attend the University of Michigan before earning his D.M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. At the completion of his dental training, Dr. Pechersky was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honors Society.
Dr. Pechersky became a specialist in orthodontics at Tufts University in Boston, MA. While at Tufts, Dr. Pechersky trained directly under the president of the American Board of Orthodontics. His commitment to fundamentals combined with his experience in the most advanced and modern techniques in orthodontics brings a unique and exciting philosophy to the office. While at Tufts, Dr. Pechersky's research was dedicated to patient hygiene and making sure that his patients teeth were as clean and beautiful after braces as before. He initiated the Tufts Orthodontic-Specific Prevention Protocol in an effort to eliminate the development of white spots (a potential side effect of poor oral hygiene while wearing braces).
Dr. Pechersky and his wife Laura live in Aspinwall with their two kids, Sasha and Theo, and their bernedoodle, Hazel. He is an avid follower of Pittsburgh and University of Michigan sports teams and enjoys playing hockey and spending time with his family and friends.

We love Dr. Pacella and all the staff! They are always upbeat, kind, and efficient. They are always assessing for comfort and pain levels during procedures. Appointments are easy to make and we have never waited long before being called back. Most importantly, they really do care about the children.

The staff was friendly and so patient and understanding. My son has autism and he was comfortable. He easily allowed the cleaning to be done because of how sweet the staff was. We will definitely be back, for all my kids.

Everyone here is so professional and the communication from the front desk to the dental assistants and Dentists are all on the same page. It's a drama free location with a very thorough Dentist who came highly recommended by my child's orthodontist, Dr. Kampas. I will continue to come here as I have full confidence that this establishment will handle the appointments well as they are organized, and Dr. Pacella is phenomenal!

Exceptional experience for my 4 year old that needed some cavities filled. First time with the laughing gas and it worked wonders. My son is usually really excited and relaxed during dental appointments but it made him feel no pain and it made the appointment super fast and smooth. Dr. P is amazing and her Staff is so patient and sweet. All my mom worries and fears vanished and Im happy we were recommended here by our family dentist. Found a great new pediatric dentist for my 3 kids!

We came here for my 3 week old sons tongue tie revision. Dr. Jen and her staff are lovely. Very knowledgeable and kind. I didn't know what to expect for the procedure but it was very quick and we were left alone to nurse immediately after. Dr. Jen even offers her personal cell in the event we have any questions. Highly recommend!

This was our first time here with my anxious 2 year old. Everyone was so sweet and wonderful and made her feel completely at ease! It is a wait to get an appointment to be seen but that's because they are awesome there and it was totally worth it! Will be taking my other kids there as well.

What a cute, kid friendly atmosphere! My son (who is 3) was amazed at the bright colors and the fact they had a tv for him to watch while they did his exam. The dental hygienist and dentist were absolutely amazing and so down to Earth they made not only me but my son extremely comfortable.

Never any complaints from my kids about going to the dentist because we chose Mars Dental Specialists ! The entire staff is wonderful and they all go above and beyond to put my kids at ease. They really know how to work with the scared and anxious kids - they are a true pediatric dentist practice !
