Dr. Steven C Marrs has been a practicing dentist in the Tri-Cities for more than 30 years. Dr. Marrs is a native of East Tennessee. He graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1978. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1982. He opened Marrs Family Dentistry in Piney Flats in September 1983 where he has dedicated his professional career to providing his patients with the best dentistry has to offer. He has three daughters; Elizabeth, Alexandra, and Victoria. He has one granddaughter; Ava Grace Marrs Bowling. When he is not practicing, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
Dr. Victoria A Marrs recently joined the Marrs Family Practice in June 2013. She was born and raised in the Tri Cities. Victoria graduated from Science Hill High School in 2005, and then East Tennessee State University in 2009 where she received her Bachelors of Science with honors. She created the Pre-Dental Society at East Tennessee State University to help others interested in the field. In May 2013, Victoria graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She is married to Curtis Kipfer. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys hiking, reading, shopping, and attending church with her husband.
Lisa Bare lives in Abingdon, Virginia with her husband and their 13 year old daughter. She graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree in dental hygiene in 1986. Her dental career began working in a pediatric dental office for 18 years. She then joined Marrs Family Dentistry in 2006. Her goal is to always focus on her patients while carefully listening to find out their dental wants and concerns. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and playing tennis.
Monica grew up in the Tri-Cities area. She knew when she graduated high school in 2010 that she wanted to study dental hygiene. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northeast State Community College in 2012, and then Magna Cum Laude from East Tennessee State University with a degree in dental hygiene in 2014. She started working at Marrs Family Dentistry in 2014 where she has enjoyed getting to know the patients. In her spare time, Monica enjoys being outside hiking, camping, kayaking, and especially rock climbing.
Tammy Johnson is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina until moving to Roan Mountain, Tennessee in 2002. Tammy has worked in the dental field since 2003. In 2003, she completed dental assisting school. She has worked as both a dental assistant and office manager. In 2004, she started working for Marrs Family Dentistry as the front office receptionist. Then in 2011 she was promoted to office manager. Tammy enjoys working with patients, building relationships, and helping them achieve their dental goals. She is married with two daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping with her daughters and going drag racing with her husband.
Rocky is from Bristol, Virginia and moved to Bluff City, Tennessee in 1991. In 2000, she completed dental assistant school. She started working for Marrs Family Dentsitry in July 2000. Rocky loves being an assistant because she gets to meet new people and build relationships with them. She is married to Ernie and has three children; two daughters and one son. She also has one granddaughter! She loves spending time with her family, shopping and reading.
Becky was born in Memphis, Tennessee and moved to Johnson City in 1969. She graduated from Tri-Cities Christain School in 1982. Then in 1990 graduated from the dental assistant program at Science Hill Technology. She has worked for Marrs Family Dentistry for the past five years. She is married to Tim Lawson, whom she met when she was 7 years old. She has one son, Stephen, who is a senior a SHHS. She enjoys all sports but especially University of Tennessee football. She also enjoys riding on her Can-Am Spider.
