His love of dentistry started while serving in the USAF; it was only natural that he pursued a degree in dentistry. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas Austin, and went on to the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School San Antonio.
After graduating from Dental School in 1989, Dr. Marquis joined the USAF Dental Corp and rose to the rank of Major. In 2000, Dr. Marquis completed an intensive two year advanced dental residency in order to provide expanded dental treatments such as sedation (nasal, oral and IV) and cosmetic dentistry.
In 2005, Dr. Marquis acquired his own dental practice in Katy Texas. Through the years Dr. Marquis has built his practice into an ultra high tech, state of the art office where he can offer his patients the best possible dental care in a very relaxing atmosphere.

The key to Dr. Marquis growing success has been combining minimally invasive and technological advances. With his on-going pursuit of continuing education for himself and his team, they have the opportunity to stay abreast of the latest advances in dentistry.
Melissa Cardenas is a registered dental hygienist practicing since 2002. She graduated with academic excellence from William Rainey Harper College with a degree in Applied Science of Dental Hygiene. She obtained her certification in the administration of Nitrous Oxide and Local Anesthesia from the University of Illinois Chicago, and recently obtained a certification in Theory and Practical Application of the Diode Laser for Hygiene.
Cindy Carey has worked in dentistry for over 34 years, starting out as an assistant in 1974, and later migrating to the business end of the dental field. She is originally from New Jersey and came to Texas in 1989. She is married with four grown children and when she is not spending time with her family, likes to swim, bike, play tennis, go to the beach, or keep busy with crafts at home. She still maintains her dental assistant license, and keeps current on the ever-changing rules and regulations of dentistry and dental insurance systems by regularly attending continuing education courses on those subjects.
Cesilia Torres has been working in the dental field as an RDA for about 4 years. She enjoys making patients feel comfortable. Cesilia loves working as a team member so communication is the key. She is also fluent in Spanish, which enables her to be particularly helpful to our Spanish speaking patients. She is patient and understanding, especially with our many patients who are afraid and hesitant in having their necessary dental treatment.
Angela Carvajal has been an RDA since 2010. She graduated from the College of Health Care Professions in Houston, Texas. In 2014, she obtained her certification in Coronal Polishing and Sealants. She loves to work and spend time with patients, helping them with any concerns, and being a part of their happy experience in the dental office.

We have been coming to Dr. Marquis for almost 10 years now. He does a great job and makes us all feel welcome and comfortable. Plus, he's hilarious. I also have to give it up for Melissa who does our cleanings. She is so sweet and kind and thorough. The whole office staff is wonderful and I recommend this dental office to everyone.

First time going here. Found them on the Cigna app. Like allot of people, I hate the dentists but they made me feel very confortable there. The staff who always checked on me to make sure I was ok and to the doctor who's friendly and likes to joke allot with me (helped me calm my nerves). I'm very grateful for this first time experience and will definitely go back.

I was terrified of getting my wisdom teeth removed due to prior bad experiences at different clinics. Dr. Marquis made sure that I was under proper care and his expertise made the process entirely painless. My recovery was also seamless, I was back to normal within a few days. I cannot overstate his professionalism and skills. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who is skeptical or anxious about getting dental work done, as it will be treated with the sensitivity it deserves.

Horrible experience at this place. If you need a basic cleaning that's all they're capable of. For crowning or night guards do NOT come here. My experience: I had to come in 3-4 times because the impressions weren't done correctly and I had to wear a temporary crown for about 4 months. When the first crown came in, it didn't even fit my tooth. The doctor's response: "I'm embarrassed" which you should be. This whole practice is an embarrassment. When my night guard came in, it already cracked the next day because it wasn't fitting my teeth and to fix it they said I have to pay out of pocket again. Now I'm having pain with my permanent crown and getting a second opinion. Avoid this place at all costs.

Dr. Marquis is very good , I did not feel Pain in the procedure, even when putting the anesthesia, he is very professional, and the staff they are friendly, helpful and Professional, my wife and I recommend this clinic

I am a fairly new patient and so far have had a pretty good experience. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Dr. Marquis is very knowledgeable and experienced. He thoroughly educates his patients and is very honest which I can appreciate. I've started some of my treatment and so far everything has been great. I am happy to have finally found a dentist I can trust considering that I have a long history of bad experiences with dentists. However I felt comfortable with Dr. Marquis and it's easy to build a rapport with him because of his personality and honest nature.

If you are looking for a family dentist, I recommend this place with a heart beat ! When you enter the clinic you will meet Sandra who will attend you with sweetness and kindness, the doctor and Angela will make you feel safe and comfortable throughout the process, they work like a family. I've been going there for a year now and believe me I feel like I'm in excellent hands. He earned my five stars without a doubt .

Dr. Marquis and his staff are simply fabulous! They make you feel so special and you will be given great care for all of your dental treatment. THE BEST dental office! Here you will find friendly, professional staff and a Dentist that not only cares about his patients but his staff as well. If Covid 19 is keeping you away from your cleaning please call the office and find out all the precautions they are taking. I've been going there for cleaning for 4 years and have never left with a bleeding gum.

I absolutely LOVE this small privately owned dental office. Literally from the wonderful office manager, to the dental assistant, to the dental hygienist , to the dentist. Quality is not undermined by gentleness. They are all wonderful and this place literally causes ZERO PAIN. Upfront about pricing and transparent about care. This place is amazing!!

Today was my first day going to the dentist I have had so many horrible experiences I had 2 teeth extracted I felt no pain the doctor made sure I was very comfortable! By FAR THE BEST DENTIST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! And the staff is also very very sweet

I love coming here. The staff is very friendly, professional and makes you feel at home. You're in and out in no time. The office is clean and well organized.
