Dr. Kathryn Marks was born and raised in Charlevoix, Michigan. Her grandparents set up roots in Spring Lake in 1947 allowing Dr. Kathryn to visit and fall in love with the area. Dr. Marks met her husband, Keith, while attending Michigan State (GO GREEN!) for her undergraduate studies. Before they were even married Kathryn and Keith visited the Muskegon/Grand Haven area and promised when they settled down, this would be their home. They fell in love with the deep sandy beaches, sunsets on Lake Michigan, and friendly people. Having so much family in the area, and being so close to both sets of parents, it was an easy choice.
Dr. Kathryn Marks and her family have been out of the state for ten years traveling. First, she completed dental school at University of Pittsburgh where she earned top honors. Then, she met the challenge of boot camp and joined the prestigious ranks of the United States Air Force as a Captain working as a dentist on our troops. Following her military service, Dr. Kathryn Marks pursued her dream of building smiles and completed the rigorous orthodontic program at the University of Louisville where she also received her Masters in dentistry, as well.
Now that Dr. Kathryn Marks and her husband, who is formerly a high school English teacher and now author, have been blessed with their three adorable children, they have taken the leap and returned to their home state. The whole Marks family is excited to be in Norton Shores and operating Marks Orthodontics!

Love this practice! Dr. Mark's and her staff are great. Being an adult getting braces for the first time, was a little scary. She answered questions fully and made me feel confident in her skills. I like that she is upbeat, positive and kind. My teeth look good after recently having my braces removed. Overall pretty happy. If you need braces, young or old, check her out.

Small wide open place with no privacy.. The ladys attitude is not very good.. (must be from covid) was kicked out because i didnt want my wisdom teeth removed. Well i went to Hunts Orthodontis on Henry and that Dr said hes not worried about them! Very friendly Dr over at Hunts!!!

Everybody was just wonderful, they went out of their way to work with getting me in quickly, and they were super nice when I was there. They were also honest, as an adult case that is extreme, and they really only wanted me to get the care I needed. Appreciated you all, thank you very much. A++ would recommend.

The staff and doctor are so friendly down to earth and mindful of cost. Scheduling is easy and the doctor takes time to discuss with you what's going on at each visit. Love this office!!!

My daughter went in for an Invisalign consultation. The staff was extremely friendly Dr. Marks was very knowledgeable. The office was very inviting as well. Would highly recommend!

Almost done with my invisalign and Dr. Marks has made it an easy and pleasant experience. The office is really nice and clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were referred to Marks Orthodontist by our Dentist and we are so very Thankful. Kathrine makes everyone feel welcome especially our son who was nervous to have braces. We have been with her for the last 1.5 years ish and Our son loves to go and pick out the next color choices. Dr. Marks is patient and listens to your concerns without judgment and makes you feel comfortable when you're nervous. Fun fact - went to work and was talking about how awesome she is. I work at the hospital and literally 3 other nurses chimed into the conversation to also state how amazing their experiences are with her. She is undoubtedly the best!!!

Would highly recommend this orthodontist to anyone. Everyone there is so friendly. Dr. Marks keeps the parents up to date on the progress. My daughter and I were very apprehensive about her getting braces but Dr. Marks and her staff put us at ease starting with the very first day. Great place!

Dr. Marks is wonderful. At my son's consultation, she took her time and explained everything. He felt perfectly at ease with her, which was very important to me. She is very sweet, easy to talk to, and has an upbeat personality. When he got his braces on, she was very informative and answered all our questions. I have already recommended her to friends, and will continue to do so. Keith was very helpful with insurance matters. The office is beautiful and very welcoming. We have had an excellent experience so far! When our second child needed braces, we didn't hesitate to go with Dr. Marks again. Once again, everything has been great. I would recommend her to everyone I know!
