Welcome to our practice! I am honored that so many people have trusted my team and me to provide them with their dental care since 1988. As much as I enjoy providing people with beautiful smiles, I am most grateful for the privilege of being allowed to share in so many of our patients lives. My life has been enhanced by the relationships we develop with our patients. Many have been with our practice since childhood. We have patients where we have seen four generations of their families. We have all grown together, sharing the joys of the birth of children, graduations, new careers, and marriages and we have shared the sorrows of loss. It is a privilege to be allowed to share in the lives of so many wonderful people.

I was thrilled in 2019 when Dr. David Markiewicz joined our practice. He shares my passion for dentistry, and he too has dedicated himself to continually improving his skills and our practice. Dr. David has energized our practice with his energy and ideas. It is a joy to be a mentor to someone smarter and more talented than myself.

We are committed to continuous learning. Dentistry is a rapidly changing profession. In order to provide excellent dental care, we must stay current with the latest research and technology. I have made regular continuing education a priority for both myself and my team. Evidence of that commitment came in 2005 when I was awarded the prestigiousFellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Fewer than 6% of dentists have earned the AGD Fellowship. In 2013 I was awarded aFellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. I regularly attend thePankey Institute, and was awarded a certificate from the L.D. Pankey Dental Foundation in February 2006 formy commitment to ethical and comprehensive dental care. I am currently participating in Continuing Education Workshops at the prestigiousSpear Center for Advanced Dental Education. I am also a member of theElite Dental Group

I grew up in Norridge, Illinois. I attended Holy Cross High School andLoyola Universitybefore heading to theUniversity of Illinois College of Dentistry. After graduation in 1985, I proudly served my country for three years as aDental Officer in the United States Navy.I opened myMundelein Dentaloffice in 1988.

I train and regularly and have competed in many triathlons and marathons. In 2011, I completed my first Ironman 70.3 Race and completed my first Chicago Marathon in 2012. I also enjoy cooking, golfing and reading.

I am currently a member of theCrossroads Runners Teamfrom Old St. Pats Catholic Church in Chicago, helping to eradicate poverty in Chicago. Three of our children, Michelle, David, and Joseph, have also completed multiple Chicago Marathons.

Locally, I have been involved atSt. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Churchand atCarmel Catholic High School. At Carmel, I completed six years of service as a member of the Board of Directors at which time I chaired the Advancement Committee which oversaw the campaign funding the Fine Arts Center. As a member and President of the Pastoral Council at St. Marys, I was involved with the planning of the new Church dedicated in 2002.

I am a former member of the University of Illinois Alumni Board and am a current member of the Chicago Dental Society Mediation Committee. I am also committed to our community and provide support whenever I can, including having volunteered regularly at the HealthReach Clinic in Mundelein. In 2013, I participated in a dental mission to the Dominican Republic. It was a very rewarding experience. We provided care these patients would never have been able to receive.

Dr. David Markiewicz is a general dentist at Markiewicz Dental in Mundelein, Illinois. Markiewicz Dental is a family owned, operated, and oriented dental practice that Dr. Anthony Markiewicz opened in 1988. Like his father, Dr. David is committed to the pursuit of excellent and exquisite dentistry. His goal is to be such a compassionate and qualified dentist that patients begin to love their visits to Markiewicz Dental.

Dr. David graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2019. His quest for more knowledge immediately led him to the prestigious Spear Institute, where he received advanced training in facially generated smile design, occlusion, and airway dentistry. Dr. David is also an active member in the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Elite Dental Group. Because of his desire to provide patients with the highest quality care, Dr. David prioritizes continuing education and considers himself a life-long learner. He is currently working towards becoming a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentists.

Dr. Davids desire to give his patients the very best has kept his schedule busy. Since joining Markiewicz Dental in 2019, Dr. David has received consistent 5 star reviews from his patients. As the science and art of dentistry moves forward, Dr. David is dedicated to being at the forefront. But he knows that personalized and thoughtful care is the most important quality in treating people. Dr. David aims to make all his dental work both beautiful and functional.

Research suggests that nearly 75% of all children and adults experience some sort of dental anxiety. Dr. David is motivated to help patients with dental anxiety get the treatment that they need in a comfortable and calm environment. At Markiewicz Dental, he uses state-of-the-art technology along with an empathetic and compassionate chair-side manner to provide quality and comfortable dental care.

In an effort to broaden his reach and help those with dental anxiety, Dr. David authored a childrens book titled, Dentists are Monsters. Published in 2020, its a story told through the lens of Tony, a newly erupted tooth in the mouth. Soon after joining the mouth, the other teeth begin telling Tony terrifying stories about the dentist. It is only until Tony works up the courage to visit the dentist that he learns the rumors are not true. Dr. David frequently visits local schools and libraries in the area to read the book and educate children on what they should expect at their regular dental visits.

For Dr. David, Illinois has always been home. He grew up in the area and went to Carmel Catholic High School, where he met his wife, Erica. He then received his Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University Chicago Dr. David remains a loyal and passionate Rambler fan. While not in the office, he enjoys reading, running, and writing. He is a 5x finisher of the Chicago Marathon and loves long weekends up to Minocqua, Wisconsin. On rainy days, you can find him with relaxing with his wife and their beloved cat, Gatsby.

I am a certified dental assistant who serves as the business coordinator and treatment coordinator. I have been with the practice since 1995. I am here to educate patients about their treatment needs. I know that each person is unique, so I provide each patient with individualized service and comfort. We always want to provide a positive and relaxing experience for our patients, and the best way to do that is to know exactly what each patient wants!

I have a Bachelors degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago and have earned my Fellowship in the American Academy of Dental Office Managers. Our business team helps ensure that the administrative functions of the practice run smoothly so our clinical team can focus on your dental treatment. We play a pivotal role in fulfilling our commitment of helping you keep your teeth for a longer lifetime.

When not at work, I love spending time with my husband and four children. I am very active with the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. I am involved with fund raising and I annually visit Washington, DC to lobby for brain aneurysm awareness and funding.

I have just become part of the Markiewicz family and couldnt be more excited to meet everyone.I have been in the Dental field since 2016 previously as an Office Manager.I have a Bachelors Degree of Science in Health Education from Illinois State University.When I am not at work, I love spending time with my husband, 2 daughters and my dog Rover.

Hello! My name is Sari and I am so excited to apart of the Markiewicz Dental team! I have been in the dental field for over 20 years. I spent 12 years in an Orthodontic practice as the Office Manager, as well as, chairside assisting. More recently, I worked in a Cosmetic Dental practice for over 8 years as the Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator. I am looking forward to learning many new aspects of the dental field that Markiewicz Dental will provide. When Im not at work, I love spending time with my husband and 4 children. Hi, Im Chrissie! I have been in the dental field since 2006 and a dental hygienist since 2012. My favorite part about working in the dental field has been the professional and personal connections I make with my patients every day. I enjoy educating my patients on the importance of oral hygiene and the correlation it has with our overall health. In my spare time, you will find me in my kitchen cooking, taking care of my plants, sewing, reading, exercising or spending time with my husband and our two dogs!

Hello, I am Tammy, I have been given the opportunity to join the team here at Markiewicz Dental. I started working in the dental profession in 1996 as a dental assistant and loved it so much, I went back to become a dental hygienist in 2001.

I really enjoy getting to know my patients both on a professional and personal level. I strive to help every patient maintain and improve their dental health through education, keeping in mind that a healthy mouth improves your overall health.

Im originally from Connecticut and love going back to spend time with my family as much as I can. I moved to Illinois in 2006, recently relocating to the Mundelein area. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful boyfriend and our pups. We enjoy doing various activities such as boating, fishing, festivals, walking the dogs and home projects. I look forward to working alongside such a wonderful staff, providing the best dental care possible to every patient who walks through our door.

Hello! My name is Jennifer. I am new to Markiewicz Dental and I am beyond excited to join the team! I have been a Dental Assistant for about 7 years and I look forward to continuing my career here. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, working out and completing some DIY projects such as floral arrangements. I also enjoy being outside, exploring, and traveling to new areas but also places that I am familiar with such as Mexico. I have been part of Dr. Markiewiczs dental team since 1996 as a dental hygiene assistant. I support our Hygiene Team in providing our patients with outstanding care. I am certified in coronal polishing and sealants. We strive to make every visit a positive experience for our patients.
