In order for me to provide the highest quality of care for my patients, each year I pursue many hours of continuing education, going above and beyond the state-required level of continuing education coursework. This gives me the ability to offer a comprehensive approach to each patients dental health because Im able to see the big picture, rather than just treating one tooth at a time.As such, I have attended the Pankey Institutefor Advanced Dental Education and the Spear Educational Continuum. Pankey and Spear Institutes focus on intense multi-course programs and seminars that educate dentists on the best ways to treat patients with complex dental needs. Dentistry is not just about making crowns and veneers that look realistic and esthetic. It isequally as critical to make sure that the dental treatment we provide respects your jaw joints (TMJ), your gingivae (gum tissues) and the adjacent and opposing teeth. Only a handful of dentists in the country have attended these programs and even fewer have attended both.

One of the other important aspects of dentistry that these programs focus onis interdisciplinary coordination with other dental providers. While some dentists provide all services on their own, I believe that specialists play a critical role in the delivery of dental care. For example, there are circumstances where we could meet a patients esthetic goals by preparing additional teeth or by using orthodontics. Both approaches have advantages and disadvantages and its my ability to understand, differentiate and offer these options that I believe makes me a better dentist for my patients.

I grew up in Constanta, Romania, on the coast of the beautiful Black Sea, home to the countrys largest seaport and the idyllic seaside resort, Mamaia. For the last 16 years, I havelived in Auburn, on a small mandarin farm. Im married to my soul mate, Dr. David Markham, who is an orthodontist. We work and play together, and we enjoy traveling for recreation and also for continuing education. We share our lives with a clutter of field cats.

I love to listen to music and I like singing. I am an avid reader, especially about dentistry. My husband and I love the outdoors: hiking, backpacking, cross-country skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering. We have achieved the summits of Mount Whitney, Mount Shasta (five times on five different routes), Mount Rainer, Mount Hood, Mount Kilimanjaro and we also enjoyed a high altitude trek in the Himalaya Mountains (in the Annapurna region). Our last adventure was summiting Mount Matterhorn in Switzerland in august 2019.

I am in the business of growing people: my patients, my team and myself. I just happen to straighten crooked teeth and make beautiful smiles along the way! I grew up in Brigham City, Utah, at the feet of the majestic Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains western slope. I spent my summers working in the fields of my fathers wheat farm in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho and spent my winters skiing the champagne powder of many local ski resorts. For the past 14 years Ive lived on the outskirts of Auburn, on a small mandarin farm. You can take the boy off the farm, but you cant take the farm out of the boy!

Dr. Luminita Markham is my wife, my family and my hero. She is also a dentist, so we share the same interests and passions. We enjoy spending time together at home, at work, in continuing education, recreating and traveling the world.

When Im not working or studying, I tend to spend my time outdoors, being active. I enjoy working in the yard, swimming and working out at the gym. My wife and I enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, along with rock and mountain climbing. Weve summitted Mount Whitney, Mount Shasta, Mount Rainer, Mount Hood, Mount Kilimanjaro and we recently completed a high-altitude trek in the Himalayas, in the Annapurna region. I have been a hygienist for over 18 years. I have a strong passion for knowledge and personal growth. I am dedicated to keeping up with the most current research and working with the latest technology, offering our patients the best available treatments. I enjoy the relationships that develop between my patients and myself. A lot of my time with each patient is concentrated on dental and oral hygiene education. If a patient knows why its important to keep their mouth healthy, and how to do so, theyll have a great and healthy smile for life.

I have been married to a wonderful husband for over 31 years and we have two amazing daughters: Jessie and Taylor Bea, who keep me extremely busy away from work. I love camping, softball, and football.

I first started working as a dental assistant while taking my prerequisites for dental hygiene school in 2009. I then graduated from Carrington Colleges dental hygiene program and became a dental hygienist in 2014.

My job is to provide comfortable and thorough care of oral prophylaxis, root planing, and soft tissue management, expose dental radiographs, demonstrate oral hygiene techniques, specific for each patient to achieve optimal oral health, and educate patients on risks of oral diseases and benefits of preventive care.

I joined the Maidu Dental Team in 2021, and the best part of my job is getting to know my patients on a personal level and also watching them succeed in taking care of their oral health. I also love helping apprehensive or nervous patients be more comfortable in the dental chair.

Working with the team at Maidu dental is like working with family. Everyone is so caring and really takes the time to figure out how we can provide the best experience for our patients. Dr. Lumi cares so much about her staff as well as the patients and really strives to make every patients experience over the top and very relaxing. I love being a part of this team!

I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have two amazing children, one daughter, and one son. If Im not working, Im making memories with my family. We love to do anything outdoors and all summer long you can find us on our boat enjoying the water and sunshine. For the dental community, I have been volunteering annually since 2014 at the Smiles for Kids charity event where we would provide free dental work and cleanings for underprivileged children. Doing that is so rewarding, knowing I can help make a difference in some of these kids lives.

My favorite part of the job includes working with patients to make informed decisions about their dental treatment and ensuring they receive comfortable, comprehensive care at their visits. I am passionate about good dental health and doing whatever is needed to help patients achieve that goal.

I am married and the mother of one lovely daughter and three stepkids. My husband owns his own construction business and I have a little Pomeranian who loves joining us in outdoor activities like boating, camping, walking, or sitting in the truck while we snowboard.

I joined the Maidu Dental team in 2018, but Ive been working in the dental field for over two decades. I love working in a dental office because I love seeing the smiles on our patients faces when they leave our office feeling good about their health and appearance. We help our patients smile with confidenceand thats something that makes everyones lives a little bit better.

In the office, I help arrange patient care, put together treatment plans, and help patients on the phone and in person. I love working with Dr. Markham because she is an amazing dentist who always strives to make her office feel like a family. Together, we all add something unique to make sure every patient feels comfortable and gets the care they need. We all work together toward the common goal of providing great care for our patients; it feels great being a part of that.

When not in the office, I am always with my family! Counting our dog and two cats, there are eight of us at home: my wonderful husband and myself, my teenage daughters, and my amazing stepson. We love to go on the road (Disneyland is my favorite!), to the beach, or simply stay home and play board games. Whether we are enjoying a big family meal together on the weekend, watching my teenage daughters play soccer or perform with a dance team, or traveling togetherwe love spending time with our kids and pets.

I have been working in the dental industry since 1982. I began my career in a dental office in the Bay Area where I spent 26 years as a front office lead. I feel blessed to have found such a warm team at Maidu Dental that cares about each other and our patients. I enjoy being a part of a team that values and trusts each other and works together to put the patient and their needs first. One of the perks of the job is interacting with each of the patients and seeing their healthy, happy smiles. Having worked as a front office lead in dental offices for over 35 years, one of my favorite things includes building a strong bond with my team and each of the patients its why I love coming to work every day.

When Im not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a husband of 30+ years, three children, and three grandchildren, who are the loves of my life. My husband and I love to go kayaking and on daily walks together with our yellow lab Cooper but most of all we love being Grandma and Grandpa.

My 25-year dental career began in the Sacramento City College dental program. I have been able to do volunteer work in and out of the country and, now, work with the team at Maidu Dental! I love the caring, collaborative atmosphere that has been created here. The doctors and their team are extremely hard-working and knowledgeable.

As a Registered Dental Assistant, I assist the doctor, take care of the patients, fabricate temporary crowns, and design new crowns using our 3D CAD-CAM amazing technology. My favorite part is to help calm nervous and anxious patients by getting to know them and making them feel at ease. One way I do this is by using our high-tech advanced technology to make their treatment easier and more convenient.

I am originally from Romania and have a very big family that I love to travel with. I love eating and cooking different international cuisines. I also volunteer with my church and other organizations and really love animals and children.

My career started as a Dental Assistant, and a year later (in 2016) I got my license as an RDA. My job involves patients care and to help those who need dental education. I love that I am able to be of service to the doctors and to my teammates. The best part of my job is working with amazing patients and to provide the dental care that they need.

I love spending time with my husband and family. My husband and I have a 2-year-old blue nose pit-bull that we adore. We like to take him out to the park and to get him new toys. I also enjoy spending time at home creating new cooking and baking recipes. And my all-time hobby is collecting scary movies.

I help patients with everything from scheduling to insurance, to financials. I graduated from Carrington College to become an RDA in 2011 and worked officeally until 2013 when I started learning front office. In 2016 I moved to work full time in the front office, and in 2021 started my journey with Maidu Dental.

I was born and raised in Auburn and currently live in Roseville with my family. Im a mom to my sweet 5-year-old daughter and in my free time I enjoy traveling, shopping, and trying out new restaurants.

After years of watching my father as a Dentist grow a practice, I was able to spend a lot of time getting to know the dental field. It was at The Fade Institute in El Dorado Hills where I became a Registered Dental Assistant and in 2018, I started my dental career.

The best part of my job is feeling accomplished at the end of the day, and knowing that maybe even the smallest, good experience may be a big impact on someones day. We work with many people who have a fear of the dentist, and I feel great knowing that the team at Maidu Dental offers a calm, safe place for people to feel at ease when going through treatment. It is heartwarming to hear that weve made a difference to them.

Ive lived in Northern California my whole life! Outdoors is where I love to be with my boyfriend and two mini dachshunds, Scully and Phoebe. Usually, you can find us out kayaking, 4 wheelings, hiking, wakeboarding, or anything out on the water.

In 2008 I completed my Dental Assistant program and became a licensed Registered Dental Assistant. The majority of my career has been in general dentistry, and it really exposed me to a broad spectrum of dentistry. Over the last 13 years, I have learned so much in the areas of implant dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, and restorative and holistic dentistry. In recent years I went back to school to become an Extended Function II assistant and graduated in 2021 from The FADE institute in El Dorado Hills CA.

I love what I do and how much I am able to contribute to patient care, while also loving my officeal work with all the Maidu dental team. I enjoy how much we support and build each other up. I value and support great patient education and our entire team believes in whats important towards a common goal of being patient-centric. Im happy with my experience as part of this team and I am satisfied knowing that our patients can expect genuine competent care.

I grew up in Nevada City and Roseville, and I am the mother of two young boys. As I am a bit of a dental nerd, when Im not at work, I spend as much time as possible being outside. We enjoy going to the river swimming, tubing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. We love to hike and plan frequent short trips to the ocean or Sierras with our pack of picnics. We love food and checking out food from different cultures. Music is also a huge part of my life and well-being, so I look for opportunities to go to concerts at outdoor venues. I help out at my church on the worship team where I sing and play guitar. I love meeting great people through my various outlets in life.
