Ron Markarian DMD MS is a Metro St. Louis area native and 1979 graduate of Granite City High School South. He continued his studies as an undergraduate at Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in Biology. As a junior at Washington University, Dr. Markarian was accepted into the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. While at SIU-SDM, he developed an keen interest in Endodontics, and after graduation in 1986 he entered the Endodontic residency at Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago. Dr. Markarian completed his residency in 1988 and entered private practice with Drs. Bynum and Ferrillo in Clayton, MO. Dr. Markarian then opened his own practice dedicated to Endodontics in Swansea, Il in 1991.
Dr. Markarians research as a student on Cracked teeth and Vertical Root Fractures won both local and national awards. He is a past president of the St. Clair District Dental Society as well as the Illinois Association of Endodontists. He is a former Assistant Professor of Endodontics at SIU-SDM, and is currently a Staff Physician at Belleville Memorial Hospital. He is also a member of the American Dental Association as well as the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Markarian spends many hours in an ice rink watching his favorite player and son, Beck play hockey. His daughter and favorite dancer, Emily is attending Miami University, and is a member of their competitive dance team. Besides spending time with his children, Dr Markarian spends many hours in the gym. He is a big St. Louis Blues fan and enjoys cooking and traveling.
Adam Diliberto DDS MS grew up in Lebanon, IL and graduated from Lebanon High School. He was then accepted into an accelerated 6-year BA/DDS program at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Dr. Diliberto developed a passion for Endodontics during dental school and has been practicing Microscopic Endodontics since his graduation from UMKC in 2006. His Endodontic residency was completed at Saint Louis University, and he remains on staff at SLU teaching the endodontic residents. Dr. Diliberto enjoys teaching and gives guest lectures to the Belleville Dental Study Club and the dental students at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Diliberto has published research in the Journal of Endodontics and is an active member of the ADA, AAE, and ISDS. He has served as president, president elect, and vice president of the St. Clair Dental Society. Dr. Diliberto is a Board Certified Endodontist and is an active Diplomate. During his spare time Dr. Diliberto enjoys spending time with his family and training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
