Dr. Tickle earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also completed a strenuous Implant Dentistry Continuum in order to provide our patients with the latest in modern tooth replacement treatment.
He is a current member of the Alabama Dental Association, American Dental Association, the International Dental Implant Association, the Sixth District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry..
When he is away from the dental office, Dr. Tickle and his family enjoy their time outdoors, taking yearly vacations to the beach and spending time with his family. He also enjoys watching college football, basketball, and fishing.
Being in love with dentistry her entire life, she decided on a career change in 2000 after moving home from Tennessee. Judith worked for local periodontist, Dr. Mary Linda Sullivan, for 7 years and more recently for Dr. Bennie Goggans for 11 years until his retirement in 2018.
My career in dental assisting spans over 25 years. I have been certified as an expanded function assistant. What I enjoy most about my job is the interaction with my patients. I have been married 30 years and have 2 sons. I enjoy spending time at the beach and lake with my family.
We use the most up to date technology available to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of your teeth.Digital x-rays provide the safest and most convenient method of capturing dental images. They typically require 1/4 the amount of radiation as a film based image. The image is available immediately to view, so no more waiting to see if the image was correctly captured.
In our quest to provide the highest quality and safest methods of diagnosis, we use a digital panorex to provide images of the entire jaw. In most cases, the only way to see impacted teeth or tumors in the jaw is with a panoramic x-ray. By using our digital capabilities, we are able to reduce the amount of radiation needed by 1/2. This is just another way we can provide the most complete and safest treatment possible.
We use the latest, most effective technology to make your treatment as smooth and safe as possible. Root canal therapy involves removing the infected pulp or nerve tissue from the roots of the tooth. We utilize the latest motor driven, heat treated nickel titanium files to safely and effectively remove the pulp tissue. Nickel titanium is very unique in that it is a highly flexible alloy yet is stronger than stainless steel. This allows us to clean bends and curves without damaging the tooth.

By using our intraoral camera, we can take a picture of your tooth and instantly project it on the television mounted on the wall in each operatory.

I changed over to Dr. Tickle for my dental work when I had a crown come off. I am not the biggest fan of going to the dentist, but he has changed that. The office personal are friendly and very helpful.. The Dental Hygienist is very professional and friendly. Dr. Tickle treats you like a friend, not really a patient. If you are looking for a new dentist, I would strongly suggest going to him.

My dental visits are always worry free. My dental hygienist is the best. The entire staff is nice. Today was another excellent dental visit! I was taken back right after my arrival. I had a dental procedure done today. There was no wait time. I experienced no pain or discomfort. A very enjoyable visit.

This place is God Sent. I was in pain for weeks before seeking a dentist. I contacted Dr. Tickle's office and they got me in immediately for a visit (same day to be exact). Came up with a plan and was able to get an extraction the next morning. He was so detailed and thorough. He literally explained everything he was doing and made sure I was comfortable. His staff is top tier. They greeted me with a smile. They understood what had to be done. Everyone was in such great moods! Never felt so welcomed before.
